We stopped for a coffee and decided to go for a walk. The visitor centre was open, which was great. Toilets are spotless. As a blue badge holder, was free. We did a circular walk, the is huge. Family and dog friendly. Was free from dog litter. Fantastic. A for the kids. Dog family orientated park. Disabled bays are next to the cafe. There are bays that are for electric plug-in as well. Blue badge holders can for free in any space for any amount of time as long as the badge is displayed. Parking tickets are £1 for all day! There are different colour coded for calorie burning, and I assume difficulty levels. There are also wheelchair and pushchair routes. Cyclists are welcome as well, and there is a hire place called pedal power that does different bikes for different abilities as well. The phone number can be found easily enough with a little further investigation. I went today with a group of people and used the tandem bikes, by side, from here and had a great experience! The people who work there are helpful and friendly, and everyone had a great couple of hours. The route we followed was mostly flat and well signposted. There are 2 playground areas for children. If you fancy a through the trees, there's plenty of off the path routes. In the warmer months, there are den building areas as well. On another occasion I took my autistic son who doesn't like being around lots of people and my mum who has a walking stick and bad knees, it was about 11.30 am on a Saturday when we arrived, parked easily in a disabled bay then set off on the green walk, there was one slightly steeper point but with help from my son his grandma managed it ok, the rest of the was flat and had plenty of benches to stop and have a break. A place to sit and bird watch in peace and quiet. Occasionally, there were dog walkers or wheelchair users going by with a "hello," but otherwise, it was tranquil. Nice wander , we chose the walk, which our new dog "molly" loved. Other take you into woodland.. Our started in the ample Carpark and was well sign posted.. Seating benches are plentiful, cut outs along the bank are ideal for our young pup to get to the water for a splash about.. People swimming by the bottom bridge was a surprise, but also shows the water is clean.. Footpaths are well kept and clear, prams,, scooters, bikes, mobility scooter friendly. Areas off the footpaths have been left uncut on purpose to attract birds and wildlife.. By the main entrance is a cafe, picnic tables, gift shop, toilets and play area.. is just £1 all day, if Carpark full, More is available on the entrance road.. Disabled is by the shop.. Dog walkers, joggers, ramblers and cyclists will enjoy it here. Plenty of room to roam and enjoy a day out.. Would come back to room more of the woodlands.... Great around alyn waters, some along the which is nice. I've been going there for years back when the were small and the was free. Great new play areas and more picnic tables for when the weather's nice. I went to the which has gone more up market since I last visited it. Very nice. Two great parks (Llay and Gwersyllt) full of wildlife and pram friendly. If you round both parks you can cover about 5km. There is also a called Caffi Cyfle in the Gwersyllt park. is on £1 for 24 hours and there are a range or bikes that you can hire. here toilets clean and functional open fields with heather and wild flowers, rich woodland, walking and bike trials, picnic facilities and ice-cream available. Various little sculptures and trail activities spotted around and along paths. Believe there is water somewhere here also, though we had a short visit and only covered a small area. Kids and possible bike hire also 👌🏻 Parking shuts at 4:30pm so I arrive plenty early to allow time for exploring! parkland. Good easy down to the river. Not too busy. Nice and fun playground for the kids. was £1 all day. Beautiful and scenery and nice cafe, with amazing staff. The dogs loved swimming in the water as it was a hot day. Just one person who thought our dogs shouldn't of been there because they were too excitable and his weren't, obviously thought he owned it. Always one spoil sport 😡 But other than that it's a gorgeous country to visit, we will definitely be going again minus the moron moaning at our dogs!. place to go for a short by a beautiful bank, there’s a cycle track and a playground if they’re your thing, and you can finish your with tea and cake in the run by some very people. They even have dairy & gluten free options Wonderful country on the outskirts of Wrexham. Good surfaced to suit all needs and a to finish off the walk. A visit to Pedal Power , then completed by coffee and cake at ...bliss and all within a couple of miles of A483 Love this place for family walks, nice length of routes for little legs. Things to see to keep engaged. Plenty of benches to stop and rest. Good play area and obsticle course area for kids. Good availability. The staff in the are amazing and always smiling. Great place to the dog especially on a hot day when they can have a dip in the river. The is great! Welsh breakfast using local ingredients. Plenty of but beware the machine has been out of order recently and they are encouraging you to pay for using the app which I'm so against. That's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Nice country park, dog, pram and baby with a day out had a picnic, sat on one of the picnic benches plenty around, plus a play on the brilliant where there was lots to entertain Llay side. Walked to Gwersyllt for toilets as non on Llay side... beware very long with steep places didn't realise it was so far otherwise we would have driven round. Good job we had Google maps in walking mode so we could tell that we were heading in the right direction!!! Llay is open all the time but the Gwersyllt gates are locked at 4.45pm. we all had a refreshing lolly ice from the cafe, staff were in there very bought a bar of chocolate for on the back... needed for energy!! Would definitely recommend. Beautiful walk. Loads of wild flowers. Can be a bit of a challenge with hills and amounts of space between resting spots plenty of space. Children's play area and little for a lite bite and cuppa to break up the Walk. The whole way round is approx 3 miles depending if u stay on track. Footpaths and man made foot paths through Woodlands/fields. During is the perfect time to visit. Soooo much bird song It is a nice place to have a walk. The is only £1 and there is a good coffee shop at the entrance. The passing by it's nice especially during the summer as you can bring the for a splash. A little find whilst visiting the area, very dog .. areas where the dogs can access the too, it’s pushchair with a path all the way round. It’s £1 to all day which is fantastic value well worth a visit The it's self is great for meandering through the woods. Nring rhe kids, bring the dog. The it's self has two parts. Both halfs have their own pay for car (via the app) and one has a cafe, toilets and a river, the other - Llay - has a big park, skate and fields. Great for ball play ball games in. Alyn waters is one of our 3 main country walks. The path along the is lovely. is very pleasant. is a bit limited and you can end up walking a fair distance to get to the ticket machine. Still very much recommend. walks, great for kids. local country Excellent walking with children and pushchair. Clean well constructed play areas.
