Excellent adjudicator giving precise and fair critique, whilst praising every performance. Good value food menu, with a set hot meal every day, to keep competitors well nourished. Dedicated team of volunteers, always happy and helpful. Very proud Grandparent. Old fashioned looking building by busy roundabout but a gem inside. Visited for local children's theatre school annual pantomime. Warm, comfortable and parking available. Large stage, good acoustics and ideal venue. Having lived in Cleethorpes/Grimsby forever I have visited the memorial hall on numerous occasions, fayres, ballet presentations, performances, wrestling (a regular one for us) and also birthday parties. A fantastic building with a raised stage, clean toilets always well stocked with supplies for busy events, kitchen facilities, plenty of parking, wheelchair accessible and also on bus routes and in an ideal location. Definitely one to consider if you are considering a location for anything requiring an audience Decent food but a long wait on an uncrowded day wouldn’t like to be there on a busy day . I remember this Hall from the Late 60s early 70s Myself and My Sister was in a little Dance group there . I wish they had som Photos from then xx Went to the February Record fair and had a lovely time, beautiful historic place. I think this was only my 2nd visit since watching wrestling there back in the 1980s. Must visit more often!! A great pleasant place/venue to have for private or community functions. It has a couple of smaller private/ function rooms and boasts a bar (available upon request) and a kitchen (for drinks and food peperation). Its situated in a very good position which can be accessed by car/public transport and is a short walk (all be it up a short incline) to the sea front. I have danced there Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays it's just wonderful for Ballroom, Latin, Sequence and Classical dancing.
