One of those places that you either love or hate. Much nicer than it used to be as they have smartened it up. Went for the day and thoroughly enjoyed it Nice beach, we just walked on it with a dog in October, then back along the promenade. It was nice, then a mid afternoon meal at Papas. We parked near the boating lake. A pleasant 5 hours in Cleethorpes. Much better than I remembered it. The town side was surprisingly nice too. An easy access area of dunes and sandy scrub. It is possible to get to the beach/seashore without getting your feet wet/muddy depending on the tide times and heights (check first, people often get caught out as the creeks fill quickly well before high tide). Love it here no funfairs so nice quite kids love Huge and clean beach, perfect for families with young children. The water is very shallow, lots of paddle boards, kayaking etc. The tide is very fast coming and going, so be aware. Toilets just beside the leasure centre. Plenty fish and chips places, ice cream and donuts. Donkey rides are always the winner! Parking is all day £5.00 which is very reasonable. McDonald's, KFC, Taco Bell, Subway nearby too, near Meridian lake. The fitties end of the is by far the best , walk for miles , the most amazing sunrises you could witness with peace and tranquility. On a warm day it really doesn't get much better Always a fabulous place to visit. Very well maintained and a great opportunity to spot wildlife around the shore. Great dog friendly beach! Fantastic for the kids when the weather is fine. Was a day and a nice walk really injoyd it Beautiful part of the East coast riviera. Great although the water had reseeded quite a bit, it was such weather so didn’t mind the extra walk. The sand was great; saw some little crabs along the shoreline. Wasn’t fond of how many dogs were about but there are restrictions in place when it comes to dogs being on the actual beach. Local food was good, bathroom facilities (could be cleaner), toys and souvenirs shops close by, great train ride ‘fun for the children’, great little arcade/theme park and good parking spots close by. Really cannot complain, had a day out ❤️ Miles of beaches and marsh, amazing views, even more amazing wildlife. Easy access from a variety of car parks and walking distance to amenities, what more could you want? Ahhh Cleethorpes sand dunes. We are blessed with a golden sandy here. Great place to base yourself for watersports such as paddleboarding and kayaking and if you are feeling braver a bit of sea swimming. The is really clean and the council make a good effort to keep it that way. So if you do visit please leave only footprints behind. Dogs can go on the main through the winter months end of October to Good Friday but you can take your furry friends on all year round from the Leisure Centre up towards the Humberston Fitties. In my opinion this area is the best part of the beach, away from the busy crowds of the main beach. It is a beautiful stretch of with diverse wildlife and the intriguing and infamous Buck Beck Bench. I've been on many holidays abroad and I have to say our is one of the best. We just lack the crystal blue waters. If you visit Cleethorpes sand dunes remember to check the tides and stay away from the mud. Stay safe and enjoy. Excelente lugar para dar un paseo y caminar Wonderful little seaside town with delicious fish and chips and ice-cream There is absolutely no access for dogs at all. Don't recommend coming here with dogs. Huge disappointment! Went for a dip in the sea, very cold.
