Popped into the Rose and Crown for breakfast. The pub was very clean and tidy. The were super and helpful. We ordered 2 full English and a bacon bun both came out pretty quickly and the taste was ok, the bacon was lovely, the eggs were perfect it was just the sausages that let it down very hard at the ends and tasted like cheap meat. Drinks were nice enough plenty of options available. They do have an app but this was terrible the breakfast menu was missing altogether this was the same with Soft Drink yet both were available at the bar. There is also a large car park out front. Overall, not a terrible place for breakfast just needs new sausages and the app needs updating. Was my dad's pub when I was a kid and it had an off license. I drank in there as a teenager and now whenever I return, I usually meet old friends for dinner. Food, drinks and price are all and the are pleasant. As we live in the US, we have American ID and my 21 year old kid had their ID checked. Not a problem so far until I was told next time we would need to provide a passport.....who goes out for the night and takes their passport? And if you cannot tell a fake US driver's license, how are you going to fair any better with a US passport? Just saying.... Arranged a xmas meal. We recently visited The Rose and Crown in Grimsby to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. There were 17 of us in total, including both adults and children, and the handled our large group brilliantly. We pre-ordered our meals in advance to help the kitchen stay on top of things, especially as the venue was busy — and it really paid off. Everything came out smoothly, the timing was great, and the food was absolutely excellent across the board. You could tell the kitchen team had taken care to get everything right, and it was much appreciated. A special mention to our waitress Leigh, who was fantastic from start to finish. Only gave 3 stars because the biggest problem was the temperature of the place. It was freezing. The diners on every other table were wearing coats, us included. We asked for the heating to be turned up and advised not possible. Sorry, we (table of 4) will not be coming back until the summer. They served fast and complete according to what was on the menu. Attended the Rose and Crown fr a spot of light lunch today with my son and friend. We were served by Nathan who was very accommodating and attentive throughout. The food was and served hot. The were brilliant. They allocated us an area of the pub and let us arrange the tables as we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. They did well getting 28 meals out in a short space of time. The food was spectacular I would highly recommend the hunters chicken, the chefs are a credit to the pub. I was served by Megan at the bar she was superb really and a delight, the lady that brought me my food was also the same I think her name was Adele. She when above and beyond for my partner and I to make sure we were okay. And Nathan was supper funny checking on us making sure we were okay during our visit. Would highly recommend visiting.
