Very nice sandy with all services needed (sunbed, bar / restaurant). A bit closer to Kournas than Georgioupolis beaches and last but not least you have more space in the sand and it is less crowded than elsewhere in the area. Clear water bars relax places fie everyone Long beautiful near Rethimno .A River is at the east side going into sea so the water is colder there.west part is warmer but all the usually have big waves You have to be careful with that. Alot parking space around with alot sand thought. Nice views, sandy beach, and some resturants. A very calming place to visit. This is a fun where the waves continuously roll in and rock you to shore. There is a stretch of the where there are fewer rocks (the area in front of La Playa). Toward the west, there are many rocks and it's difficult to swim there. I highly recommend water shoes and a mask and snorkel. I think that the rocks prevents this from getting too crowded, which was fortunate for us. The chairs and umbrellas at La Playa are free for guests who buy food and drinks from the attendants. Τεράστια αμμουδιά.. έχει και μαγαζάκια αν θες να πάρεις καφέ η να φας η ακόμα και να κάτσεις εκεί σε ξαπλώστρα , έχει ευκολο δρόμο .. και η θάλασσα είναι όπως πρέπει βαθαίνει σιγά σιγά ότι πρέπει και για παιδιά, οικογένεια. To miejsce jest zjawiskowo piękne. Πέτρες κ πολυ βρώμικη ... I visited this place with my son and his partner in May 2019 while travelling around Crete. It was late in the afternoon and there was a wonderful sunset happening. Crete has some breathtaking scenery and we were left in awe at its beauty. I am from New Zealand where we have great landscapes too. I took some photos which i have now uploaded. I hope people will appreciate them. During the winter, this place is not that beautiful, but still it is well worth making a stop. You can see the white mountains from here.
