The is a good which is not super crowded and not as popular as other beaches near large cities. You can easily access it from the Highway - there is a free parking and it just takes a minute to walk. It’s a pebble and the entrance to the water is a bit rocky but still manageable even without any special shoes. The distinctive feature of the is great sunset. The is surrounded by two and you can easily hike in a couple of minutes to one of the and enjoy the sunset. You can even take some food or drinks with you A small beach, organised but not too crowded. Has a beautiful cave that you can swim through if there are no (but dangerous when there are so please don't attempt it then). Make sure to climb on the around it (a very easy walk) for some magnificent views, especially during sunset. Absolut empfehlenswert! The ideal if you enjoy and rock diving! Check the wind before going if you are not a huge wave fan. Water is crystal clear even with the waves! Sadly the cafe/restaurant in the has the place run down with umbrellas for customers which is ugly. Kieselstrand, sauberes Wasser, ab Mittag sehr gut besucht. Dusche 50ct finde ich gut. Gute Taverne und Strandbar. 2024 8€ für 2Liegen +Schirm. Schnorcheln ganz i.O. A gold find. A small with fab view. We visited in October so the restaurant was closed. This is the best on my trip in west Crete (If you are tired of lying on the sand). No lifeguards, jumping from to the sea (I only tried west cliff, which is lower), cave to hide from the sun. The on that day were also awesome. Great view. Not so amazing food. Not that cheap. The seashore looks amazing. It was really wavy when we were there so it wasn't good for everyone. The restaurant was not so good. Food was ok, but with many flies all around, it was not a fun experience to eat there. Service was slow, and many of the dishes were not available. Prices were not cheap. It's definitely not an amazing restaurant, as described in the reviews I have read before getting there. The payment asked for a chair was ridiculously high as well. Amazing stony beach! The stones are absolutely smooth, it is impossible to hurt yourself when you go down into the water. Probably not the best place for kids because it gets deep quickly. Also in the wind there are very powerful (but we had a lot of fun though). On the downside, we did not find a shower and a place to change clothes. One of our favourite beaches in Crete. Small pebble with each side, clear water and good waves. Nice taverna on the beach. In 2024 there were 3 types of sunbeds/parasols costing 9, 15 or 30 euros per set. Short narrow road from main coast road down to a small, free car park, Google maps will get you there 👍 Photos taken from headland beside beach, it rained 30 minutes later! Awesome little hidden beach, the parking lot is a little hard to find but if you do it’s worth it! Rented a chair to lounge in for 2.50 euros, and beers are reasonably priced at the restaurant nearby…highly recommend! Spilies Beach, often referred to as "Wave Beach," is a hidden gem on the northern coast of Crete. The is known for its crystal-clear waters, dramatic cliffs, and naturally occurring sea caves, providing an idyllic setting for relaxation and exploration. While the can get quite strong, making it a thrilling spot for more adventurous swimmers, it's not the best choice for families with young children. Amenities are limited, so bring your own snacks and water. Overall, Spilies offers a tranquil, less touristy experience for those looking to escape the crowds. Neliela omulīga oļu pludmale klinšainā krastā. Very beautiful cosy beach, parking sun beds, little cafe with fresh and tasty food, amazing sunset from the rock, snorkelling is Super zum schnorcheln, tolles klares Wasser. Viele liegen, WC, Imbiss und Bar.
