The greek salad was made with tasty tomatoes 🍅 and other very good ingredients. The chicken slouvaki was perfect, fresh chicken meat, perfect. So far from the industrial chicken meat from western European restaurants. The food was amazing, the cherry on the top was an on the mountains and sunset. The owner is very friendly. Real local Cretan food and incredible views of the mountains around. Very family running the restaurant and good quantities in every dish. We had so much food and in the end we had the free dessert which was amazing. We loved it so much so we asked for another but as an order so pay for it. They wanted to give this for free however we convinced them that we will pay. We also received the recipe for it, so I can make it. Usually come here during the day for the views which are spectacular but last night visited after dark for dinner. Unlike many of the coastal tavernas it wasn't crowded and had a peaceful atmosphere. The food was Greek but a little different, served beautifully on tables with white linen tablecloths. The flavours were great, the krassi wine lovely & the service attentive but not intrusive. Would certainly recommend. Came here after a long, hot day visiting monasteries and the Preveli beach. The staff was very friendly and welcoming (and so were the kitty cats) and the tavern was nice and cool outside. The food was well-cooked and served at good pace. Very tasty. What really makes this tavern stand out though is the on the hills. It’s breathtaking, especially around sunset. Those views made an already enjoyable dinner downright magical. local food! It was really calm ( early dinner ) One of the best restaurants in Crete. You need to taste Apakia, Saganaki, Spicy Cheese Spread. We ordered a kilo of lamb chops served with French fries, boiled greens (try them!), tzatziki with toasted pita, Greek salad, and fried zucchini chips. Service was perfect and the views were the best. Prices are very affordable. And they served a complimentary dessert (orange cake infused with honey plus ice cream!). Best ever experience! Unplanned dinner...., stopped off on the way home. Beautiful restaurant....., stunning mountain views...., was the best salad I have had in my life. The owners were incredibly and the food was so fresh and home cooked. The mixed grill was massive for 2 people and everything served was delicious. Highly recommend a stop if your travels take you this way. We stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant in search of a quality, reasonably priced spot and boy did we hit the jackpot. This play is set on a gorgeous terrance and is the perfect spot for a relaxing meal with a view. The staff is friendly, the food is more than reasonably priced for the amount you get. They made us feel incredibly welcome and the overall atmosphere is warm and homey. The food was also 10/10, very authentic and made fresh to serve. This place is beautiful. The host and his wife are very nice and polite, and the food is delicious. I recommend first to order tzatziki with pita and for the main dish, take whatever (I didn't get to take a picture, it was great), and at the end, you must try orange pie.
