Lovely marina to walk around and look at all the lovely boats plus the historic features and statues in the marina area. Easy to park for access to old town Lots of rubbish for sales in the seafront shops but look a bit further... there's done great stuff here. Nice little marina with lots of boats moored here and the pirate ship also goes from here on its trips out Marina is nice overall while a few less polished bits are probably part of city's authenticity... The Marina of Rethymno is a stunning seaside location with fantastic restaurants and breathtaking views. It's perfect for a leisurely stroll and a great starting point to explore the historic old town. Highly recommended! So pleased to discover the old town and marina. Very family friendly with ships, restairants and cafes.. Very pleasant place to stroll around and admire the Venetian harbour. Loads of shopping outlets and cafes and restaurants to choose from, overlooking the marina and harbour. Bordé de nombreuses rues piétonnes il est possible d'y passé d'excellents moments. We found a parking spot here and spent our last night at the harbor. I can recommend this place to anyone traveling with a camper. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to explore the harbor area, but my boyfriend was a bit regretful. We didn’t have enough time to spend in this city. Good protection all around but I suspect it there was a big Storm surge from the North it wouldn't be as protected. The mooring here is very difficult if you're in the outer part and there's stronger Winds, as you need to pick up a Bouy to Med Moor, and we found ourselves being blown sideways into the Pontoon trying to pick up the Buoy, which was impossible and we had to go side on along the Pontoon then take the Dinghy to the Buoy and feed a line through it back to the Yacht then manually pivot into position. There are no Showers. The staff where friendly. Electric and Water where at a separate cost which was 10 euros a charging Card which lasted well. We stayed in the middle of January 2024 and the cost was a 10 euros for a night. Beautiful and romantic atmosphere especially at sunset time.
