The sunset was beautiful and the was nice. The ocean, on the other side was cold. No warm stream to be found. One of us stand on warm ocean floor for a second but we could not retrace that spot again. So go to this beach, but don't expect any warm volcano springs. It is a beautiful with lifeguards. You have restrooms and fitting rooms. The wave are strong so you have to swim. The is for families too. You have upstairs a little restaurant and good car parks. Gorgeous beach. Well organized with toilets, change rooms and showers. Worth the drive out. On a sunny day, bring your own shade as there is a limited number in the sand. Read the warning about jellyfish and how to handle it. Unfortunately you cannot see the sunset very well from the beach. But the black volcanic sand is cool! It is an excellent location with a patio overlooking a sand beach. We had their limpets (cooked snails) that come with butter and squeezed lemon—had a beer and gin and tonic to wash it all down.
