We had an amazing family dinner here. The Selkie manages to be the perfect nice restaurant for families - the food and ambiance is high quality with something for everyone and our kids were also well catered to with plenty of options and kind attention. The main courses were delicious, especially the cod, and the desserts were out of this world good. A really nice place. Delighted we went to this place and we will be back again soon. We had starter and mains. The food tasted great. The was very friendly and did everything they could to make our enjoyable as possible What a wonderful at The Selkies. Really great food and very friendly, customer orientated and courteous service. The duck was to die for and the kalamri starter was incredibly flavoursome and tender. The exceptionally friendly wine advice rounded off the perfectly. The ambience can also only be rated positively throughout. You should definitely try it for yourself. Our first time at Selkie bur definitely not last. It's been a while we have been served with such a passion and just genuine approach. We really appreciated that. As it comes for food, the steak and sea bass - melted in our mouths. Absolutely gorgeous. Next time we around will definitely come back. Thank you front of the house and chef During our one-week holiday in Leitrim, we had dinner at The Selkie every single – and that really says it all. The food was consistently delicious and carefully prepared, and the warm welcome made us feel at home right away. The hospitality and relaxed atmosphere truly make this restaurant stand out. We can wholeheartedly recommend The Selkie to everyone. As soon as we’re back in Leitrim, it will be the first place we return to! By far my favourite restaurant in Ireland! Set in a small sleepy town right on the coast, totally unassuming from the outside, walking into the establishment instantly provides a sense of home comfort. Lorraine, the owner and hostess, is as lovely a person as anyone could ask for. She did her best to accommodate me with grace when I came in without a reservation. On that note, be sure to make a reservation!!! The place is ALWAYS busy as far as I could see, which is a testament to how fantastic it is! Mark is the magician behind the bar, and I believe he may be the best mixologist in Ireland! His cocktails are mindblowing! You cannot go to The Selkie and not try one of his creations. They truely are spectacular and many of his cocktails are created with homemade ingredients that bring a special personal touch to them. The food, what can I say... Simply outstanding! Simple menu with meals crafted to perfection from the finest local ingredients! Really cannot fault the team in anything that they do. Anyone visiting the west of Ireland without succumbing to the song of The Selkie is doomed to miss out on a special magic that few restaurants could replicate... Some of the best risotto I’ve ever had. Quiet restaurant with amazing locally sourced food. One of the best restaurants in the northwest without doubt. Amazing seasonal food, perfect service for the most friendly and welcoming staff, and talented bar with an excellent cocktail menu. I can't say enough food things about this gem of a find, and just five mins from all the Bundoran nightlife. Lorraine is a great host! Great food - I had tempura prawns followed by sea bass with risotto and pineapple tart Tatin. Visited with our 3 kids and my cousin, the best food we had on our stay in Bundoran by a long margin. All our starters, mains and desserts were fantastic, kids and adult meals alike. The waiting were also brilliant, one lady in particular made my visit but I didn't get her name sadly. First time I’ve experienced exceptionally good food, great service and remarkable drinks in Ireland (usually it’s 1 of the 3, or none with just good ambiance). This place is CLASS all the way around! Our server was the owner with her fiancé the chef - so sweet!! We had a fantastic group gathering at Selkie. Lorraine and her team looked after us so well, the food was delicious and all really good value. Thanks for a fantastic night and I hope to be back. We had our end of season team dinner here with 42 and it was an incredible evening! The tapas menu was perfect as it created a social of great food, chats and relaxing! The were informative, attentive and considerate! Even the kids were exploring ask the new foods! For veggies and vegans the menu beautifully balanced and encouraged ask the carnivores to expand their palate! We will be back!!
