I was very surprised at how close it is to the Strand. You need to go down on the paths to properly enjoy the Fairy Bridges, they would be easily walked past if you stayed on the path. There’s a mystical atmosphere, especially at sunrise or sunset, when the golden light dances on the waves and cliffs. Adjacent to the Fairy Bridges is the Wishing Chair, another must-see. You sit, make a wish, and soak in the peaceful, otherworldly vibe. It’s free to visit, easy to access with parking nearby, and suitable for families, photographers, and nature lovers alike. We spent over an hour here just taking in the views, snapping photos, and enjoying the serenity. It’s not overly crowded, which adds to its charm. This hidden gem truly captures the wild spirit of Ireland’s northwest coast. Highly recommended if you’re anywhere near Bundoran—you won’t regret the stop! Lovely area. Theres a nice long beach and some flat walking. The rocks around the arches are very sharp if you head down. We saw some surfers. Sept 12, 2024. Natural geology here makes the to it worth the little trek....and do not forget to sit in the wishing stone chair and flip a coin. Fair Bridges really took me by surprise. Even though I’m from the coast, I stood there watching the waves for almost an hour – the are just incredible. The wild ocean crashing against the rocks, the endless horizon… it’s the kind of place that makes you stop and just take it all in. The bridges themselves look impressive, but it’s the whole atmosphere that makes this spot special. If you love dramatic seaside and the raw power of nature, this place is definitely worth a visit. This is a beautiful feature on an already beautiful beach. Parking is limited, but free. The fairy bridges are about 150m from parking. The beach must get good waves, because there were a lot of surfers. Easy to drive here. We found a (free) park immediately. The arches are good to see, but not spectacular. The around the cliff offers beautiful of the beach, the ocean ( as it rolls along the cliff face), seagulls, the inlet, the town, the fun fair, and the holiday park. This ends back in town, but retracing your steps is ok, because the is less than 2 Km. I didn't go down to the beach, but it would offer great of the cliff (take a camera with a good zoom, and/or a pair of binoculars). The is all tarmac and has easy grades. Temporary toilets had been delivered to the carpark when I visited. Amazing place to visit. Very popular for the surfing 🌊 if good weather it's a wonderful day out. Very nice view close to town with restaurants and pubs. Surf school is active already in early spring. Nice along the edge. This is such a lovely place to visit as you along you can look down on to Tullan Strand which is beautiful. You can watch surfers. Along the road there is a Fairy Chair which has been there for years and you can sit on it and make a wish. There is a bridge and when you look down you can see the sea flowing into it. Its amazing and worth a trip to it. All free and a beautiful place for a walk. Absolutely stunning spot tucked away near Bundoran. The Fairy Bridges and Wishing Chair are full of charm and coastal beauty you can really feel the mix of myth and nature here. The sea arches are dramatic and the cliffs give you breathtaking of the Atlantic. There’s a peaceful walking path with signs sharing the folklore, which adds a nice touch.It’s not a huge area, but definitely worth the stop especially at sunset when the light hits the water. Easy to access and parking is nearby. Great photo opportunities too!
