It's absolutely beautiful, lovely scenery, the it's self on the board isn't as long as I hoped but it's still a worth while trip, people very friendly, plenty of activities and a park for the kids to enjoy or feed the ducks, hit it up , enjoy It's a really nice place for a with a large carpark at the lake. Some of the work is going on at the coffee place so I hope they will create a nice space as the place has a great potential. Looks like during the summer you can use the place for kayaking. It's a great place to stop during your journey, that's what I have done. The scenery is beautiful. Too bad there's nothing to do after you took a walk. No place to have a coffee or eat something. And there's nothing at the end of the boardwalk either. Also the parking is terrible. The parking place is incredibly small and has a stupid layout so you can easily get stuck. What a fantastic place for a walk. So well set up and very accessible for wheelchairs and prams etc. A great place for a walk, a chat and to wash your eyes out with the glorious Irish views. Lovely little hike, however I expected a water walkway, and it really was just a regular hike. Build it and they really should come. Caught the on a quiet evening after some of the warmest days revealing more pond lillies open than ever. Beauty spot surprise. Poorly signposted and promoted around Leitrim. Might need an engineering rethink but should be duplicated everywhere possible. Great flat easy walking in some of the most stunning lake and canal sections in Ireland.
