Will come back to stay for a night. What a wee find! Super historical pub with a traditional Irish atmosphere . Grab yourself a pint have some lunch and sit around one of the fires ... yes pick one of three in doors one out in the massive under covered seating area . Lively little country pub which is well decorated. Unfortunately when we visited there were 5 young guys sitting at the bar and their language was disgrace. There were women in the bar and a little 5 year old and they should not have been treated to such foul language in almost every sentence. Unfortunately the guy behind the bar must have felt it was acceptable as not once did he ask them to tone it down or refuse to serve them any more drink. The management here really need to step up their game and lay down a few ground rules. Would I return...... No Had a lovely time here the other evening! Completely stumbled across it by accident which made it even better in this hidden gem. Food was really reasonably priced and was delicious. Staff were really and the location was excellent by the river! Can't wait to return 😁 We were visiting Ireland from America and didn't know that most places only serve food at 5:00 yet the workers were so nice and let us sit inside at a table a wait for a couple minutes and then took our order a couple minutes before 5. They also have a hilarious kids menu that all parents will enjoy! Fantastic family run caravan and camping park. Very ran and food as good as you could ask for. Visited twice this year and can't wait to go back. Love it there. We had a lovely few drinks in Beirnes very staff very welcoming dog too fire was lighting a real Irish pub setting we will be back again look forward to it. Fabulous camping/ glamping site with something for everyone. Beirnes pub adjacent has food and drink and plenty of space both inside and outside. The playground on site is an added extra and keeps the kids well entertained!! If you're looking for good food, good Guinness, and a cosy atmosphere, this is the place! Very generous helpings for the price, and lovely staff.
