Many locals eat here so it's a good sign. Booking recommended on Web site or Google. 5 stars Really nice snack dinner before a return train to UK. Great service, tasty and generous pizzas (moules friendly also an option). Main dinner menu starts at 7pm and we will plan to return in the future to try their wider menu! Very nice brasserie. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They serve good quality products. The fish soup is definitely a good starter. The salmon was is also a magnificent starter. Main courses are also super... Sole, moules, the lamb ( so tender, the meat fell of the bone) with "crushed" potatoes... All in all one of the better brasseries in the neighborhood We stumbled across this restaurant, as it seems in France, restaurants close at 2pm and we was on our way to Eurotunnel after golf. Even though it was a reduced menu, we all ended up with pizza or mussels and everyone was pleasantly surprised at the fresh food. Turned out that the waitress is father was English too. Would throughly recommend. This is anything but welcoming. We arrived around 6:00 PM with four people, and it was almost empty, apart from a few occupied tables. Our French isn’t great, so we asked if they spoke English. A few words were said in English, but we were not given a table. There was a lot of discussion among the staff, even some muttering about “the boss” or something like that, but nothing happened. In the end, we didn’t get a table. Was it because we didn’t speak French? No idea, but this certainly doesn’t deserve a star. We walked on and ended up at Cave ou Fort. What a relief: we were welcomed immediately and had a wonderful meal. My advice: skip this and walk a bit further to La Cave ou Fort — you won’t regret it. The place is relatively big and when overcrowded the service carries you through your meal without trouble but also without much care. The food is just ok not to complain about , it misses the edge both in freshness and creativity. Our second visit to this place. The food and service was great . My wife commented that the toilets were immaculate. Will definitely return. We had lunch several Times for many years and we were satisfied until today . The service is good but the food is very average . We had a terrine and were served rillettes very fatty . Also an os a moelle we had to send back to the cook because they were cold .Then ordered a medium rare filet and were served an overdone filet, french fries were not cooked properly and oily .The waitress has been perfect and cleared the situation promptly but how can a cook let that be served ??? In a 4 1/2 stars restaurant. Shame on him . Hope the cook will be awake on our next visit .
