One of the Best Places To Visits in Valea Cetățuia Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. People this path for religious reasons with babies, unequipped, we even saw an old lady fall. Lots of beggars, maybe 15. At the top there are many shacks, probably illegally built constructions, even construction site with no protection. Trash all over. The stone cave church is not protected or restored. Candles inside make the air hard yo breathe and there is also such fire for candles in the woods along the path, fire hazard. Few panels offer info that mix orthodoxy with old dacian beliefs that were considered pagan and eradicated by Christians (same as in other parts of Europe). The views are wonderful. After you will walk up to the mountain, you will find an very old and amazing , carved în the rocks. Old paintings and new structures! 5 Stars for the monastery, trail and sights. There is no official parking place, you need to park by the main road. Don't go over the bridge. When you are at the car or when you leave be very careful with the valuables, there are a lot of local gipsy (kids the most) that will beg and possible steal from you or your car. Don't let valuable things at sight in your car. Also, there are a lot of gipsy all along the track in the forest to the (they will beg or sell things to you). The trail will take up to 1 hour. I recommend you to have equipment(shoes especially) and it will be through the forest, if it's a rainy weather take care because it could get slippery a lot. Once you made it up you will be amazed with the and the monastery. Go along the right part of the church and all the way up to the highest point where you can find a small museum and a big cross. Authorities need to get involved and to scatter the gipsy because it's not a thing for tourism. It was a nice visit. You can go by car or on foot. The walk is I think around half an hour. The is nothing special but the is nice. There are also some other short paths that you can follow. I went there because my friend who raised in Pitesti couldn't suggest any place so that's what I found on Google maps in a quick search, in general I don't think is something worth visiting Traseul este ușor-mediu (drum prin pădure dar cu multe pietre) și durează circa 20-25 min. To reach this site, you have to for about 30 minutes, medium level. The landscape is very beautiful, the in the rock is spectacular, the peace found there and the discussion with the priest there, helps you connect with everything that faith means. Super worth going up. The and the are beautiful. The path is very steep, so be careful. We were at the weekend and there were a lot of locals, who came to pray or something. There were small children and very old people, and disabled, so it is difficult, but possible. Better come with the suitable shoes. Nice stroll in the woods to get to a hill peak jewel with a wonderful story Peaceful place, to take break inside nature.. The church is on the top of the mountain, we needed 40 minutes to to get to the top it was exciting trip Un loc minunat incarcat pozitiv . So calming and beautiful chuch on a top. Very relaxing too! The is placed on a high rock. Awesome great after a 1h climb. It can done on foot with children also. The is a bit dificult but it is well worth it. The has an interesting historical legend, that you'll find more about it there. On the road you can observe a lot of forest small wild life. Highly recommend it. Ancient Spiritual place over the Tracian sacrifice altar. You will need a physical condition to to the Monks Monastery. An spring in the cave altar is knows as Healing Spring. And on top is 3 wish Cross. Both the and the views were amazing. The parking and a path going through a part of the gypsy settlement should be guided by local authorities. I travelled with my family and didn't feel safe. Some locals were intrusive and untrustworthy. Felt like a deep 3rd word country. It's to bring some basic snacks for local kids. They will be the first ones to greet you. Prea multe biserici,Puține rugăciuni . Easy to climb, 20-30 min, historical loaded place. Is not just the monastery, is also the thracian knight engraved on the stone, close to the (1min walking) two old monk caves with some interesting engravings and paintings. Another interesting thing about this place is the peak of the in the back of the which offers a spectacular view. Next to this peak is a place you can chill, a flat stone- next to the peak, I felt specially in that place and I am not a religious person. I wonder if other people feel that about that place. Next to this place there are some feet engravings surrounded by legend (Radu Vodă and his wife prayed hard to God to help him win in the defence battle against the turks and as a sign from God the peak of the cracked). There is also some modern dacian wooden statues. Another thing, you gonna meet many friendly gypsie kids beging for money, I gave all my change to the first bunch and I had nothing to give to next ones, unfortunately. I parked near the bridge.
