Its a small at the top of hill, overlooking lake skader....stunning of lake from top of this castle... there is an entry fee 2 euros at the entrance. Inside there is a small vine museum as well... Besac is a small fortress which was rebuilt in the past years and the entrance fee of 1€ is used for the ongoing renovation. The is fantastic on Lake Skadar! There is not much to see inside the building but they hang old photos and pictures of later times. It was cute. Sans intérêt. Small castle, but interesting. It works also after 6 p.m (to our surprise!). Beautiful from the walls are guaranteed! It costs about 1 euro to get here. Beautiful views and decent cocktails but staff is snobby and rude. We popped by for a drink and views of the lake, and the girl at the entrance had a look at us in shorts and backpack (we had just gone kayaking) and said “you need to pay to get in”. We explained we were coming for a drink and she insisted, it’s not enough, you need to have lunch. Quite putting off, straight away. Just an advice, you don’t attract bees with vinegar! Renovated old with a and winery. You can walk here from Virpazar within 10-15 minutes or drive, there’re some parking spaces near the castle. If you don’t order any meal in the (at least a desert), the entrance fee is €2,5. To my opinion it’s not worth it if you don’t visit the restaurant. Ok view. But 2€ just for accessing it? Moreover in off season, when there is nobody… I’d advise to walk the area and enjoy view. But definitely no need to pay and access the Fort. Very nice place to visit on the way to Montenegro coast travelling from Podgorica to Bar or Petrovac. Just a few hundred metres off the route in town called Virpazar. Nice from the fortress over surrounding area. There are several good vineries in the close vicinity. Perte de temps Greed at its finest sadly…pay €2 entry or eat food. We are not hungry and have a boat trip in less than an hour but we can buy a drink? No, you still pay €2 entry even if you buy a drink. So greedy! Thank you EU money for making this site look presentable but the monopoly on this place is unbelievable. AVOID wines which are also overly priced…Plantaze Cabernet and Vranac at an extortionate €14…you can buy these wines for €4-5 in supermarket Voli down the road! not very impressive. Wine "museum" is very mid. workers, akin to bridge trolls, prey on tourists and ask for 2€ thoroughfare. We wanted to eat in the but we were charged €2 each to see the fort. Weird to pay an entrance fee for a restaurant. Nic specjalnego poza widokiem na jezioro. DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!!! It is such a pity that some is taking over this historical fortress and charging poor tourists 2 EUR if they don't buy anything. I advise you to take your own food in as we did and ate it rebellious on the top of the fortress. Great view, Lively place, but quite small. You can do a wine tastery or go to the restaurant. There is a guy that can breng you up to the fort, or you can go by car. It's a really short drive from Virpazar, about 5 minutes. Nice views from the top, but had to pay 2 euros per person, does not make sense for what.... Not necessarily worth the detour if you don't need to get here... lots of boat rides when you enter the area This hidden place is so special! It is a culinary highlight. All we tried was an amazing experience. We really recommend this place for food and drinks. And especially desert.;-) it has a great over the river and the staff is more than accommodating. We had a wonderful dinner at Besac Castle. The views of Lake Skadar and the surrounding hillsides were amazing from our table. The fresh fish from the lake was delicious and the waiter was very attentive and gave us great advice to help us order. It was a very romantic retreat. We wanted to eat at the but apparently the staff didn‘t speak enough english to understand „eat table for two“ with hand gestures… but were then perfectly fine conversing with other guests in broken but good enough english… so we left.
