Brown Moss

Whitchurch, United Kingdom Nature preserve

One of the Best Places To Visits in Ash Magna Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Lovely nature reserve, chef in the woods is there too for refreshments. Take wellies very very muddy. Dissapointed that people let their dogs off lead when though signs asking not to do so as there are animals grazing (we saw cows) and of course various ducks /birds. Take your rubbish home, we litter picked as per usual. Mainly flat area, very popular, can be difficult to park Hidden away from view. This lovely Reserve has stunning views, across the Water. Only a few Mallards and Coots. Easy dirt car Park, mine the tree's. Visited again 22. Brown Moss covering quite a large section. Birch Woodland completely cut down, new tree planting. Stunning place but some of the walks were off limits but to the paths being under water. Brown Moss is a stunning area of natural beauty, Immersed in lake and woodland surroundings. We our dogs here throughout the year, yes it gets muddy at times, but it’s all part of the enjoyment of the great outdoors. Every time we visit we see something different with the abundance of Flora and Fauna. Took the toddler out for a run around and around the lake. Lots of different paths to explore, unfortunately the full around the lake wasn't accessible as it was flooded in areas but didn't stop from being able to access other walks! Car parking is limited and there are some pretty big potholes going in so be careful A nice boxing day stroll through the woods, not been here for years, a lot wetter than expected, but still a lovely Stunning dog friendly, kid friendly family friendly woods. Really was a perfect autumnal afternoon in picturesque surroundings Beautiful amongst nature Looks like it's permanently flooded...circular inaccessible..very disappointed.... Lovely peaceful place makes very pleasant circular out of Whitchurch Town Centre (30-40m from Town Centre). Good for well behaved dogs. Now has dexter cattle grazing there. Plenty of benches by the water and various free parking off the road. Bicycle friendly gate by the road. An enjoyable half hour although the boardwalk is officially closed (in poor repair). Plenty of water foul on the water but nothing particularly unusual. Great area for dogs. There are several small parking areas off the road along side the Moss. Great to see that the water levels have increased recently although this may affect the foot paths if you intend to do a circular around it. Came a couple of weeks ago for the first time in 2 years, and was astonished to see how full the lake is now. Don't even know if it's possible to round the lake now. Had a picnic lunch at the single table - tried to do the same today and got chased away by a couple of geese. Luckily there's a bench a bit further away and they didn't pursue me that far 😊 Been there a couple of times in the years, but now it's incredibly flooded. Can't access half the place, all the bridges are submerged Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
