Great spot for a break on the drive west Very pretty. Good walks around and toilet facilities nearby - although these weren't kept very well. Lovely quiet private marina that is open to visiting boats. €8 a night or €10 for electric TY. Public toilets are not nice and no showers or bins but still worth it if you want guaranteed quiet birthing and electrical hookup. Great sunset weather permitting. Actually pretty nice place when the weather is good, easy to access. Not that far from any mayor town in Midland's. When is summer time and especially good weather get a bit busy. Definitely recommended if you want to enjoy nice walk on the banks of Shannon river, possible even to do some fishing. A lovely place to visit and very well done We stayed at an Airbnb overlooking the marina. A great location for walks, and to view the boats transiting up and down the River Shannon. Plenty of great places to eat in town just a five minute walk away . Beautiful piece of Ireland to watch life go by. Beautifully kept harbour and village with great hotel restaurants and shops. Loved to see the kids swimming with their families and having picnics by the water. I really enjoyed a fabulous meal in The Purple Onion. Always a beautiful place to come and clear.your mind. Very peaceful and quiet. There is plenty of fishing and always nice to watch the boats leaving the harbour and going up river So lucky to live near to this lovely village, has a bit of everything.
