Longford Sports & Leisure Centre

Longford, Ireland Sports complex

Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Very well equipped sports and leisure centre. Has a great pool.and prices are very reasonable. Swimming is a size with large children's pool Staff are friendly and lifeguards are always on watch. Big let down is the changing facilities, dirty with broken lockers. Floors are dirty with grime, hairs and even toilet paper throughout. Toilet facilities dirty and smell of urine. Badly in need of more regular high standard cleaning. This facility is crying out for an update and overhaul. A real shame as it has huge potential and is located in a great setting Looks pretty good, I have been told that it is expensive, however for just under 13 euros per week (I am over 60) Which includes all classes, and gym entry, it seems pretty value to me I'm going to give it a try, will let you know how it goes Steve Egan I moved to Longford from Dublin and joined Coral Leisure Longford. While the gym is larger compared to other nearby options, it is also the most expensive in Longford, which is surprising given that it is still smaller and more costly than many gyms in Dublin. The offered are of excellent quality, but there has been a noticeable reduction in the number of available recently. This reduction is quite frustrating, as there are many people trying to get slots, leading to long waiting lists. It's particularly inconvenient that there are free spots during normal working hours, but only run until 7 pm, which is quite early for working individuals. Other Coral Leisure locations offer until 9 pm, so it would be great if this gym could extend their hours similarly. Fridays are another issue, as there are no after 1 pm. On Saturdays, there are five classes, but the last class is at 11 am, making it hard to attend for those with morning commitments. There are a lot of people trying to book a class on Saturday, resulting in long waiting lists, but there simply aren't enough to meet the demand. Additionally, there are no on Sundays at all. Given that the membership fee is 60 euros a month, I believe there should be more class availability to better accommodate members. I have spoken to the manager a couple of times regarding the addition of more classes, but I was informed that it's not possible to do so. Overall, while the facilities and are good, the scheduling and availability need significant improvement to justify the cost. Brought my grandson to Swimming club, Great facility Lovely community gyn for us locals - really vibe in the gym section , can see management has keep on-top of cleaning. I had a membership for a while in Coral. Gym is very small, but there are other like e.g spinning and speed flex. The swimming is and even though there is a time table for use it, there is lots of time to swim and enjoy free line. The changing room and showers are very very old and and very very dirty. However, the is excellent. Everyone very friendly, happy, trying hard. Guys from gym gives professional swimming lessons and lifeguards are involved into gym classes.I haven't been a member in place with better atmosphere. I always felt very welcome and felt good. I wish to Coral and the all the best. Thank you The in itself is ok, normal 25m. However the changing and locker facilities are really outdated and not really clean. A couple of the older are really nice and do a job. Unfortunately several of the young lads and girls arent dprofessional and more interested in chatting to each other and dossing (When they give private lessons they are very motivated though ! ). They wear outdoor shoes on deck and also let parents enter the clean area with dirty shoes, not nice :-( Coral leisure needs to get things under control there. More oversight from Longford Co, council also necessary. I’m told that you can take photos of people while working out and face no consequences from management!!! 10/10 would recommend to all my friends and family and especially my daughter This gym is seriously lacking in management and discipline. The seems completely disengaged — they’re either nowhere to be found or doing absolutely nothing while the place turns into chaos. Dumbbells are scattered all over the floor, creating a hazard for anyone actually trying to work out. Worse, there are groups of kids literally lying around for hours or just sitting on machines glued to their phones, taking up space and doing nothing. No one enforces any kind of order or gym etiquette. It’s clear no one in charge cares, and it’s ruining the experience for anyone serious about training. If you’re looking for a clean, organised gym with who actually manage the space and enforce basic rules, this is not the place.
