Very friendly restaurant with a large choice of good food. Vegetarian options might be improved a little though. Deserts are great! Very nice to sit outside! Top class steakhouse. Soup - tremendous Salad - fresh and well dressed Hake - huge Chicken - supreme But the steak - BANGING There was one minor qualm that the fat on the steak was very chewy and should in most cases not be eaten / given to the dog. However all of it was very well seasoned with salt and pepper, and the sauces that came gratis were a class addition to the dish in whole. Onion rings were unreal, mushrooms juicy, chips not needed but excellent. Highly recommend splashing out for the steak dishes here. They are dear but very much worth it, the meat was treated well by the chefs and my rare steak was done perfectly to my taste. Hake was huge (3 chunky bits) and class, chicken was tremendous and came with champ which was hearty and lined the stomach well. My goats cheese salad was a start but very honestly the vegetable soup is not one to miss out on. Truly class. Thank you to the excellent attentive servers and for a brilliant evening of class food and delicious Guinness. Load of whisky there too if you want to try it. Good on yous!! Cheers :) Food was ok, not bad but certainly nothing special. Very expensive for just a burger and chips. The 'salad' was just some lettuce with a few slices of red onion?? And they left out the onion ring. Not a big deal I know, but still when you're paying over €20 for burger and chips you'd expect to get what you pay for 🙄 It's not far from Carrick-on-Shannon, so I'd recommend stopping somewhere there. The atmosphere is s a little bland in my opinion but A for effort. The treat you like family no matter who you are and when I left after the beef burger(10/10 btw) I was so full you definitely get what you paid for with flavor and size. No-one is a stranger here. Warm, kind and helpful. From the moment we stepped in the door, we knew we were in for a special experience. The food is familiar and hearty, the setting cosy and calm, the efficient and informative. The kids were treated like family. If you pass this way, don't think twice before stopping - you won't regret it! The food is excellent, beautifully cooked and presented. Stopped here for my partners fathers 70th while on boat on the Shannon. Special mention to the manager who accommodated our group of 5 at last minute for walk in with outside table (cracking weather that weekend and we had a dog with us) Food was lovely, service brilliant and a big thanks again! food ,all the very friendly and efficient. Fluffy on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. The Spicy wings starter aren’t the typical saucy texture but more the deep fried. Tastes amazing! Just worth mentioning as some people prefer the one over the other. We also had the option to up-size the portion size of the Spicy wings to have it as a main dish instead of a started. I had the chicken goujons (in the picture) which was also amazing! It wasn’t dry and it was just the right amount of moistness. The onion rings were massive and super tasty!! Food was lovely and were very friendly. Two of us had steaks which were cooked beautifully, although cannot understand why chips are an add on to a steak and then they are frozen chips not fresh. Also don't think it's a idea to put a table of 5 at a round table and expect 3 of them to sit on a straight bench! A must when in Letrim worth the drive. Friendly atmosphere. Savsage food.
