Found this little gem on Google maps and had a little peek after Cameo Island. Off Cameo island and swing right. There was a cute little fishing boat with a sweet old man feeding a calamari. Kids were over the moon to see the and we left the with 2 euro tip in his tip net 👊😎👍 He was also pulling the odd bit of litter with his pink net to keep the water free of our waste. Bin it people! Don't let your litter pollute the waters 👊 Every day around 6 PM, a local feeds a sea with fresh squid, a really beautiful sight. If he asks for a small tip, it’s worth giving something so he can keep taking care of the turtles. Definitely worth a quick stop! Spot did not disappoint!🐢🐢 We came (9th October 2025 at 1pm) after our boat tour. The was here for a while being fed! We tried to come the night before at 5:30pm until 6:30pm and we didn’t get to see the turtle! Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Went here today (Sunday 21st September 2025) got there for 5:30pm, turned up at 5:35pm with his bags of calamari. Unfortunately we waited about 45 minutes with him banging his hammer and throwing in bits of calamari but then all of a sudden he appeared, a 70 year old loggerhead turtle. Absolutely amazing and got so close. The asks for tips to help pay for the food which we was happy to do so. Unreal experience. He was massive too. Well worth the wait. Amazing experience. We arrived early and took a walk over the bridge to cameo island. The was there when we got back to the harbour, we waited for over an hour and just as we picked up our bags to leave, the came. This was around 6pm. Absolutely recommend. Please leave him a tip when you see him 😁 We were extremely disappointed with our visit to this place. We were drawn by the promise of seeing turtles in their natural habitat, but unfortunately, all we saw was garbage and plastic along the shore. Not a single the entire time! It is especially upsetting that a tourist business is being run here, yet there is absolutely no care for cleanliness or the preservation of nature. It is very sad that instead of protecting the animals, the place has been turned into a dump. Loved this spot, probably the only spot you’ll see a up close. This nice feeds the with fresh calamari. We were a group of friends and went there around 5:30pm. It is completely free but please tip the nice fisherman. The comes there everyday. We didn't have to wait long to see the turtle. We were there after 6:30pm and still had a great view of the turtle. The older gentleman is incredibly nice. You should definitely take a tip for him and the with you! It's not compulsory but it's a nice way to support the two of them, especially because you get such a great up-close view of the animal without paying a cent.
