Lovely with a variety of trees and shrubs, duck pond, outdoor gym, playground, a track for kids learning to cycle etc. There seems to be a facility to borrow little bicycles too. We'll kept and informative installations. This has been awarded with the green flag on a number of occasions. There are lot of activities to do in the people's located just off the town centre of Portlaoise, which includes cycling, walking, gym, foraging and playground. There is a lake with ducks & wildlife which is one of the main attractions for visitors. The River triogue runs through the park. Nice day, great to hang out, very accessible from town centre either by car or by foot. Personally I like to go relax on the grass, do some light exercise on the gym and forage some wild plants like nettles, dandelions, and elderflower. Playground, parking, little workout area. Multiple entrances to suit your preference, lake with duckies and swanies , not an overly large but it's a good size and never rammed with traffic. It's also a part of a good 3k loop hence the multiple entrances. Great spot for running laps or walking or just sitting and clearing the head. Lovely little with a child's playground, a duck pond and an outdoor gym. Really a lovely for all. Playground for the kids exercise stuff for adults and a lovely walk around it. A nice spot for a picnic. What more can you ask for. Lovely we just happened to pull into while travelling through. Playground is nice with a soft bark mulch ground. Wooden style playground. The walk ways are lovely and plenty of space. The stream leads down into a small lake with ducks and we even saw a kingfisher. The kids loved it. Lovely space just outside town. Full of nature... Lovely place. Nice good for kids but don't go after sunrise Lovely and quiet little park. I believe it will be more scenic if they will cut the weed in surrounding the lake as you cannot see the lake anymore because the weeds surrounding it are so tall. Nice and relaxing during clear skyed days. Chill to smoke up there 😁😆 Very good park, would like a sports area, such as a basketball court or a football field there for children and a like to play.
