We missed the lunch menu, so we ordered a beef meat pie (EUR 16.50) and cut (pork) of the day (EUR 16.50). Would recommend the former over the latter. Loved this place so much the first time we made a detour to stop here for supper the night after! Super amazing food! We stopped off here with our 2 dogs as its dog friendly. We had two delicious meals each and our dogs even got brought some sausages. The food, service and value here is absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend a visit. Fantastic TRUCK STOP for the Old Skool Truckers, who’d appreciate good food, refreshments along with great craic and banter from the friendliest bar and restaurant staff. A++ Was looking for a nice place to get a dinner on a way back from Dublin, and found this place. Decided to give it a try. It is a lovely restaurant/ pub located on old Dublin motorway close to Portlaoise. Plenty of parking, plenty of space inside. I would say the place is very polular among local people, but we got a table with no issues on Thursday afternoon. The place was quiet busy, so the booking might be needed for weekends. The atmosphere is very relaxing, staff very nice and friendly. Plenty of space between tables, and the tables with chairs /corner sofas are comfortable. We got steaks- oh my God! One of the best steaks I had! Especially with homemade whisky sauce! The portions were huge! I could not finish it. But really delicios. We also got two dessert - once again, the portions are huge and delicious. But could not finish my icecream. The quality of food is very good, all freshly made and from good quality ingridients. I have extremely sensitive stomach, and I was fine afterward. Will definately be back when next time going to Dublin!
