I don't want to let another day go by without reviewing the fabulous Restavracija Pristava Lapena. On a recent visit to Soča Slovenia, a friend, her large German Shepherd, and I had the opportunity to eat at this amazing three times. Google Maps only allows me to check that we had dinner there, but we also had two lunches. Let's talk about pet friendliness first. Restavracija Pristava Lapena doesn't just allow dogs, it welcomes them with a bowl of water and a pet menu! The staff was very kind and considerate of our canine companion, and she is a big dog! During our lunches the weather was warm so we ate outside under lovely umbrellas. The evening we had dinner, we were all welcomed into their beautiful dining room. The plays nice music, mostly jazz, at a sound level conducive to enhancing the atmosphere, but allowing cordial conversation. The lighting and decor also added to a perfect dining experience. As you can see from the photo of the two empty glasses, a swath of aquamarine glass runs through each wooden table, echoing the color of the Soča River we hiked along each day. The wait staff is warm and helpful. The food arrived hot, without a long wait. The caught trout was amazing. Watch out for bones though! We had lamb and beef for our dinner there - both cooked to perfection. All the vegetables were and delicious. On the grounds of the and hotel there is an alpaca named, Lala. All I want now is a Lala webcam to watch her live whenever she's out and about! I hope to return to Soča in the near future and have another meal at Restavracija Pristava Lepena We accidentally found this restaurant, and checking the reviews and photos on the internet, we had high hopes. The service was amazing. The girl helped me pull out the chair, they were really patient with our ordering, etc. We had to wait a bit long, but the soup was worth the wait. BEST soup of our life. I don't like mushrooms, but my boyfriend does, so we ordered a mushroom cream soup. Absolutely amazing! There are no words how delicious it was. My second course was a carbonara spagetti. It was a bit disappointing, it had not much flavours. My boyfriend order was a mix meat plate. It was good, but nothing special. The place is awesome, the lights were really nice. we came here on our first evening to the soca valley, with a recomendation, and it was a wonderful surprise the setting is just stunning the were delicious, very fresh, although somewhat small portions. all in all, we had a lovely dinner Unique place. The service, the food is just a feast of flavours, the combination of and sauces is simply divine! For such and service I would pay twice as much. Dinner is 35 euros for a person. To all the goes the best Slovenian wine. We did not expect to find such a in the mountains. The staff is really nice and well educated about the and wines. There were three of us and we each ordered an appetizer and main course, and we also ordered a matching bottle of wine. We were more than satisfied with all the dishes, and we particularly recommend the grilled local trout. We would come back again and again, it was worth it from start to finish! Edit: There is also a dog menue, and my dog Penny really enjoyed the lamb! :-) Our friends recommended this and we came for lunch. The food was with delicious combinations of ingredients and we enjoyed every dish. After the meal we walked around and met the sweetest alpaca which made the visit even more special. We look forward to coming back soon. Very cozy atmosphere, delicious food, big portions, varied menu, all are made with ingredients and nice, friendly service. Also pleased with the availability of a menu for dogs and a small zoo. I think that we will definitely come back here. On that evening it was hard to reserve a table but we managed to get one because we really wanted to try the wild trout dishes. Everything was wonderful, the flavors were rich and fresh.
