The stuffed pljeskavica was excellent – the food is simply phenomenal and needs no further praise. However, the experience was spoiled by the waiter, who, despite clearly being busy, shared too much of his personal frustrations with the guests. While I understand the stress of a demanding job, customers shouldn’t have to endure a waiter’s life dramas. If the work feels overwhelming, perhaps it would be better to consider another profession rather than complain to the guests. This place was a fantastic find. We stopped there while on our way to Krka National park. The smoke coming out of the barbecue section was a good sign of things to go. The roast lamb wouldn’t be ready for a few hours so we got the mixed plate, and a side salad. The place is full of people really getting into the lamb, and it seems like a popular local haunt. The waitress didn’t speak too much English but with google translate and a lot of nodding everything worked out fine. The meat was all very well cooked, and the salad was good as well. The fresh bread that came with was so tasty and the prices were unbelievably low. Would definitely go back, as everything was wonderful. Feels like the middle of nowhere :). Great local and quality meat, very kind staff and doesnt have egregious prices. With portionw of food you can decrease increase however much you want and we feel the price was great. The food was great and the people friendly. English was not optimal but with the help of somebody there I was able to order a delicious dish. The pig or lam roast on the menu suggests a 1kg portion but that can be shrunk and the price will shrunk evenly. Amazing and truly Croatian experience. This was the best lamb that I have ever tried in Croatia. Price is really affordable, we had a lunch with 4 wine glasses for two persons for just 30 euros. We weren't expecting much when we found this place but very presently surprised. There is pork or lamb straight from the spit available, I had the pork, very tasty.
