The owner put so much attention to details. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I stayed in the room with a private sauna, which comes with infrared function. It’s a full size sauna room, very comfortable, scented, rob/towel all provided. My favorite part of the place is the half-opened sun room (act like your living room). It’s so cozy with a nice fire place, scented candles, cozy seating area, serene view. Definetely add the breakfast. It’s sooo much food, fresh and delicious, and enough to make yourself two sandwiches for lunch. I didn’t have a car, but Edwin was kind enough to pick me up and drop me off at the Hoogeveen station. But do come here with a car if you can so that you can visit the national park near by. Highly recommended for a few days to switch off. Small/medium size dog is welcomed with a fee of 20€/p.n. Our stay at the Hertenhoef B&B was so special. The alpacas and deer are so peaceful and made my stay more memorable. The Hertenlodge had the best vantage point to enjoy the animals. The lodge had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious! We hope to return every year. Thanks! Very comfortable stay with great amenities. The location is good if you are making your way by foot. Approx 35mins to the train station and there are many nature reserves around. We brought our dog there and he loved it! Heerlijke B&B!
