Parking is in a little unpaved woodland area around the corner. After doing 3 laps of the parking area, we couldn't find anywhere to park, so we pulled over and enquired inside the property. They very kindly allowed us to park in the "no parking" area at the rear of the hotel. Once parked, we went to the bar to check in. Paid for the room in full and added breakfast. The room was basic and adequate for our needs and spotlessly clean. No kettle, but a small fan, hairdryer, and toiletries. Very comfy bed, and we all had a good nights sleep (which we needed after a long day on the road and in preparation for spending the next 2 nights on an air mattress). Breakfast was delicious - a fresh, hard-boiled egg, a portion of creamy youghurt and plenty of meats, cheese, bread, pastries, and fruit. The sausage (I'm guessing liver sausage) was new to me, and I'm trying to source some now we're back home in the uk as it was that good. Highly recommend. Ate at the hotel after a long day at Wildlands Emmen. The dinner was very nice, service was great, friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely person looking after our table who made the kids laugh, and us too with the dancing! Definitely want to come back. Absolutely delicious food every time we go there. Fantastic, friendly service. The terrace is delightful to sit when the weather is good and it's often busy! Highly recommend 👌.
