dolmen D1

Assen, Netherlands Historical landmark

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. One of the #largest #ancient #graves before mankind and #civilization also in great shape Super great place Reachable by bicycle. Interesting to see and publicly accessible (and yes, there is waste there, which is a shame). Calm place. Great place for a stop-over or picnic on your hiking or bike trip in the area. Kids can climb the stones or play hide and seek while you enjoy the views. Amazing place given its history! A board gives information in both Dutch and English. The hunebed was lovely. Only downside was, that the forest areas next to it were all privately-owned. So having a lovely long walk with the dog after watching the Hunebed isn't really doable (unless you trespass over the barb wired perimeters) Beautiful, peaceful and historical place.. Beautifully serene.
