Fact is that it's a lovely place to eat. It looks nice and feels really snug. The is friendly and serve you quickly. Although the satay was a bit overcooked, the food in general, especially the Zeegster burger, was really good. I'd did however feel like the Corona rules had been neglected a bit, as some handlings by the felt unsanitary, which made me feel uncomfortable at times. I had dinner here yesterday and it was an amazing experience. I had made a reservation in advance for a special occasion, and the restaurant really made it feel special. They surprised us with a beautifully decorated plate and later on another lovely gesture, which was such a thoughtful touch. For the starter, we had bread with a spread — very tasty and refreshing, especially since it wasn’t the typical dips you usually get. The main course was delicious and came with a fresh, well-prepared salad on the side. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm, cozy, and rustic. The were very friendly and gave us the time and space to truly enjoy our evening without feeling rushed. Overall, a wonderful — highly recommend! We visited Grand Café Het Witte Huis today (Sunday evening) and had a really nice dinner experience. The restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere with lots of wood details, soft lighting, and beautiful flower arrangements — perfect for a relaxed evening. The food was tasty and well presented. We had the Rundersukade (beef) and the dish of the month, both served with fries and a fresh salad. The meat was flavorful. For dessert, we shared a Dame Blanche, which came with delicious vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and warm chocolate sauce — simple but very good. We also had latte macchiatos, nicely served with a small candy on the side. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality and ambiance: around €22–29 for main courses, €9 for desserts, and about €4.50 for coffee. The only downside was that the food took about 20–30 minutes to arrive, but the was friendly and the place was busy, so it wasn’t a big issue. Overall, it’s a lovely restaurant with good food, nice service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Zeege or the surrounding area. We live at walking distance from the place, and went for a casual dinner just after Christmas. Lovely place, great ambiance. Overall really good, but I am marking down the food score to a three, as it was a mixed bag. The week menu was fabulous! Perfect steak, excellent vegetables. My daughter ordered the burger though and that was a bit of a let down. It was way, way undercooked. I would normally be very happy with a burger that isn't dried out and dead, but this was too raw.
