Lovely friendly theatre Steven was wonderful! He explained everything about Westport and showed us the landmarks. It was a great day. He was very funny which added to a beautiful town in Ireland. It’s definitely worth the visit. I highly recommend this walking tour. I also recommend arriving early if you are parking. Great way to get an introduction to the town of Westport! A little history overview here and there but more focused on the community efforts such as pollinator gardens, local honey and local business cross collaboration/highlighting local businesses which was fun to hear about. Our guide Steven was very friendly and patient with our 5 year old daughter, getting her lots of treats from the various shops. Highly recommend! Great tour, with history, Irish wit and tips for local music, food n pubs, so much fun! The guide, Ed and his Irish Wolfhound Coo was excellent. He was able to give us all lots of information about the foundation of the town and of the famous and infamous characters who contributed to the growth of the town. Some tasty morsels from ice-cream and coffee houses was a tasty addition to the walking tour. This walking was a delight - informative, fun, well-timed. Our guide was excellent and really helped us get a better understanding of the history of the area. All with a great sense of humor! My husband and I had an extremely entertaining and knowledgeable tour, and lots of fun with our guide, Stephen. We learned so much about the history of Westport as well as the current community - remarkably collaborative and wonderfully Eco-conscience. I highly recommend this tour! Brilliant! Well worth doing.
