We didn't have a reservation but were lucky enough to get a table, as it was very busy. The looked nice. My daughter got chicken gougons and chips from the kids' menu, which she enjoyed. My husband got the special rump of lamb, and it was amazing. I got the red Thai curry. It was only ok for me, I didn't pick up any of the Thai notes like lemon grass or coconut, but it was creamy. I know it said mild, but I found it too and so subtle that the coriander garnish over take any flavour of the curry. We all got dessert, sticky toffee pudding, and the apple crumble, and they were lovely. I'd definitely go back and try something else, I will make a reservation next time. Called in here while passing through Ballinrobe for a bite to eat. We hadn’t made a reservation but it was around 5pm on a Sunday so thought we might get lucky. The staff did offer us a seat, not the best seat, beside the till, but beggars can’t be choosers, and we accepted what was offered. The was varied and offered a good selection of both starters and main courses. The one thing we noticed was the didn’t cater for our 13 year old who just wanted chicken goujons and chips. She ordered from the kids but found the portion very small, obviously 🙄. Anyway I had the special which was the Mayo rump lamb with tender stem broccoli which was absolutely delicious. My wife had the Thai red curry which she found too but for people, like me, who like a curry it was perfect. My 13 year old hoovered up her chicken and chips and half of her mothers curry so that was a good sign everything was tasty. For dessert I had an apple granola thing whit ice cream which again was delicious and the rest both had the sticky toffee pudding, with ice cream which was also delicious. The total including drinks came to around €70 which was very reasonably, considering the quality of everything. I would recommend a visit here and please make a reservation to avoid disappointment. I would like to experience this fine establishment again but this time from a more comfortable table and seating area. I would like to thank the staff for accommodating us on the first place as I know it would have been easier to turn us away. We stopped by here for a lunch and ordered items from their specials. The stuffed chicken came super dry. I am guessing they’re warm up instead of cooking lunch items. Though, mushroom soup and desert were very nice Stopped for dinner after a day of roadtripping around the area. The food was excellent! Worth every penny for sure! The dessert was equally delicious :) Stopped in for dinner tonight after a long day of sightseeing. The food was awesome!! I had the filet and it was cooked perfectly. My friends got stirfry’s -one chicken and one shrimp and they both couldn’t believe how great it was! Colm, our server was friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was excellent, warm, and decorated beautifully. I definitely recommend Flannerys -we are staying at Ashford Castle and it was a short drive there and definitely worth it! I hope we can get back for another dinner before heading home!! Thanks Colm and Flannerys for a great authentic pub experience!! We all loved your food!! Had the best meal of my travels in Flannerys on Sunday. It was very busy but a lovely girl called Katie found us a table! 10/10 would recommend the chowder and the sticky toffee. Will be back soon Stopped in out of the blue, the waiter found a table for us, even though it was busy and gave us great service. This was matched by the food, which was fabulous, we had the lamb and beef, which was some of the best on our Irish trip. Leah was absolutely amazing. Most beautiful personality and woman i’ve ever met. She gave me a lime in my drink and made it taste 11/10.
