Pavliani Recreation Park

Lamia, Greece Park

Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. This is a very beautiful surrounded by nature. It's inside a lush, green forest and the path that you follow is right next to a little river that makes it even prettier. There are many little wooden bridges to cross, making the picturesque. They are sturdy and safe enough and usually not slippery, but there's nowhere to hold on to, so if you go with little it's best to hold them by the hand when they cross (not that the falls are very high, but just in case). There are also many little constructions and drawings in the park, some of them to play with, some of them just being jokes. The is very easy to follow until you reach the tree houses. If you want to continue, it might get a little hard for or older people, especially if you decide to walk the whole to the iron throne. Beginners will find some difficulty too, but I believe that, with enough stops, it will be manageable. Don't forget to bring water and sunscreen (the has enough shade but you still need it!) with you if you plan to walk the whole 6,5km route. If you decide to stay in the ''easy'' part of the you will still enjoy yourself by playing in the beautiful nature and exploring the various constructions. There is also a small cafe you can sit in as well as a souvenir shop near the entrance. Very pleasant place for a long walk. A beautiful stream and things to do too. I loved that basketball game. Coffee place is nice as well. Great for warm summer days, it's nice and cool up there. Easy to reach by car. Maybe one of the best friendly of the Greece! With a lot of good works by the locals! We missed the sign for iron throne on main road and took the long path through the river. Well designeted and all with direction signs. Maybe few benches needed on the uphill roads! A place worth visiting with your family. Specially suited for kids or the kid inside you! Nice trail with small surprises in the form of hammocks, swings, clever sayings and funny ways to cross the river along the way. Make sure you have plenty of water with you! I wouldn't recommend trying to reach the Iron Throne. It's a really long trail that will take you a lot of time to get there and no kid can follow. As an overall experience was great but execution is poor Pros The view, nature, location, is amazing Cons The conditions of many attractions weren't at usable level at least for our it seems like they created them for the park, but no one is taking care of them and it makes them dangerous for small children Better be prepared with boots and gear to enjoy the ride even though you have to be careful even with them The signs were mainly in Greek they were a bit misguiding as well After 'iron throne' the path to get to the exit is way harder than the one we entered Some toys/attractions are broken too Garbage everywhere If someone get injured he has to get help alone. There is no one to help you Lastly no toilets at all Απίστευτη εμπειρία! Amazing place out of a fairy tale. The locals put a lot of effort into cleanliness and making it even more interesting. If you ride with amallrt kids its best to skip the iron throne as its 6+ km. 10/10 overall Very nice and fun park. Loads of green and little waterfalls everywhere. Fun art objects. Had a great time with my wife here. Pavliani is the live sample that people can be close with to nature without destroying it. We loved it here. Perfect for families with children. We walked the long trail 6km but there is a shorter one and its full of fun activities. Very nice location for a family outing or a day trip. The local community members have done an exceptional work of blending nature and fun activities for children, thus transforming the area into an outdoor recreational park. For the more advanced hiker who is here for the challenge, there is also the chance to ascend to Zeus throne and sit on the Iron Throne to admire the breathtaking scenery. Hiking shoes and walking sticks recommended for the ascent.
