Just popped in as i was passing through. Really nice staff. Food was except for pepper sauce. Nice atmosphere Lovely waitress ,great food. The big bald head guy behind the bar needs to be more friendly and welcoming. Just an unfriendly glance when you walk in and he really couldnt be bothered. You can tell her doesn't want to be there and he doesn't want people to be there. A real negative for what could've been a perfect experience. We ordered tea and it was so obvious he didn't really want to help or be friendly. Busy place i was there randomly twice in a week, were great, & veg soup, & rib- eye steak dinner was delicious.. this is a five star place all day long.the are so friendly and helpful the bar and food servers work together and are quick and attentive you will struggle to decide which one to tip there so good.the food,well i been back here 4 times in the last 3 weeks and tried different dishes each time could not find anything to complain about all gorgeous. the roast lamb.and the cod and chips are a must to try .......keep up the work I was a stranded traveller from Canada dealing with a ridiculous rental car situation and the here went above and beyond to help me out with local contacts, food and beer. I visited The Old House twice, nothing but experiences. Its a very classic pub with food and great Guinness. Been to a few functions here and they never disappoint. Food is lovely and is served hot and fresh. Live music on some nights and a couple of snugs if you want some privacy to catch up with friends and get some food. Perfect venue for parties and the food platters are always served full of a variety of food. are also really nice and friendly and very accommodating 👌 Delicious food. Fantastic service. went above and beyond to cater for our party and family members with food allergies. Large portions at a very reasonable price - the steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend. Fantastic food and is always delicious the best food in town by far. Absolutely love the menu with so many nice dishes to choose from and always a great pint of Guinness the best.
