Can't go wrong with that combination We visited The Coach House Gastro Bar on St Patrick’s Day this year. We had a group of 9 so we booked prior which I would highly recommend even if you are only visiting in a smaller group as it fills quick especially on weekends. It was very busy but we still got served in about 30-40 minutes. The food was very and here is some dishes I’d recommend that me and my family ordered: chips, chicken wings, garlic bread, steak sandwich and carbonara. The portion sizes are really big. Free ice cream comes with kids meals. Overall, great spot in Gorey lots of seats inside and a few benches outside. I will definitely be returning. The Coach House Gastro Bar is an incredible place with a warm and cozy atmosphere. The interior is stylish while preserving the authentic charm of the historic inn. The menu is outstanding—featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and every dish is prepared with great attention to detail. We tried the Wagyu cheeseburger and the pumpkin risotto—both were absolutely fantastic! The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. We felt special the entire time. If you’re looking for a place with excellent food and a great ambiance, I highly recommend The Coach House Gastro Bar! We will definitely be coming back. Food was lovely atmosphere was good. Only complaint was the dirty glasses I got served two drinks in. Excellent food. Great menu options. Very value. Service was fantastic. Asked multiple times if we needed anything outside of general service. The staff are really attentive and want everyone to be comfortable. I saw lots of examples of them checking in with customers. Really great to see. Great kids menu, so to see options outside of just nuggets and chips. Really generous portions. The interior could do with an upgrade but it doesn't impact the overall experience. Fantastic staff and delicious food. Highly recommend. Parking on the main street is hit and miss. It's a busy road. There are plenty of car park options. Walking the main street is a nice way to see the other local shops/businesses. Overall highly recommend. I had very fresh fish with chips. Large portion... service is briliant ... absolutely pleasure to spend eat time over here Fantastic food 😋 lovely service atmosphere Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, homemade food (fish Recommended). We had the specials (beef stew, chicken chorizo pie) and they were amazing. Super hot, very tasty. My son had chicken goujons. Also hot and fresh. Only issue we had was trying to track someone down to order dessert and pay. We think our server may have gotten off work and forgotten to tell the lad who was there, but we paid at the bar and were set to go. I recently had a dining experience that was quite disappointing due to the behavior of one of the servers named Julie. Throughout our visit, she consistently belittled another server named John, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable and detracted from our enjoyment of the meal. Julie frequently used derogatory names like "retard" when referring to John, looking over at us for validation as she laughed at his expense. It was apparent that we did not want to be part of this bullying, yet she persisted. When John first led us to our table, he chose a spot that was perfectly suited for our group, as the area was completely empty. However, Julie shouted at him, "I TOLD YOU NOT TO SEAT ANYONE," before grabbing the menu from him and cramming us into a corner where there was not enough space for everyone. One of the girls had to sit awkwardly at the corner of the table. We decided to ask John for Julie's name, and he quietly whispered "Julie," clearly intimidated. We overheard her telling him that he MUST stay even though his shift was over, and she was consistently unkind to him throughout our visit. Her demeanor towards us was not much better when she took our order. She approached our table shortly after seating us and curtly asked, "What do you want?" When we expressed interest in dessert, she responded dismissively, saying, "Well, yeah, if you know what you want, I suppose." Overall, Julie's behavior was unprofessional and made for a very unpleasant experience.
