Did miss a lot of information, could have been so much more unfortunately. Very interesting but there is no serious care and interest of promoting the place not much there looks like its a work in progrees, we went there for the gorge which i highly recommend Fantastic old and ancient village, stunning view from above the village. Perfect to visit a cloudy day, not to hot to walk around. So much history. Just a few people living here now. The amphitheatre-like view and site of Rokka, the natural beauty of the gorge, the archaeological site and all the mythological story that surrounds the area, in combination with the impressive landscape under the huge volume of the characteristic Rock, that identify the village and the great cultural celebrations organized every summer on August, makes Rokka a timeless destination offering an holistic experience that activates all the sences of the visitors! We went into the gorge next to it, and it was very beautiful. A small but well beaten path lead us down the slope, not a difficult hike. 🇬🇷 Great experience listening to classical music under the August full moon We happened to be the only two people on the site, great views, vultures flying overhead and sheep wandering among the ruins of the ancient city. Look out for a magnificent looking dead tree at the bottom of the slope - very photo-friendly!
