Bar man wasn't any way friendly or engaging but the waiter was extremely friendly and made up for this. Food was nice , pint was nice , the pub itself is very nice. Okay, so the place has this really weird, funky vibe going on. I wasn't a huge fan of the atmosphere. I ordered a Koppaberg, but the glass was seriously gross. Like, really dirty. The only good thing was the chicken wings - I got like 24 pieces for just 10 euros! That was a total steal. The drinks were also not so heavy on the pocket. Also loved the different types of tables like each table had its own vibe. Amazing food! Highly recommend it here, a beautiful outdoor dining area with fabulous plants and flowers, heaters for if it’s a bit cold and very comfortable seating. Really nice vibes, the food was 10/10, really great selection on the menu too. Breakfast menu runs until 3pm so it’s a perfect spot for a lovely brunch. Extremely satisfied with the service we received at the thatch, I had soup which was delicious. My guests had chicken wings and Caesar salad which looked very appetising and large portions. My BBQ ribs for my mains were very tender and extremely tasty. Would have loved to have had dessert but I was totally stuffed, my friend had pavlova with was nearly enough for the six of us. Tom was very warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome as did the rest of the staff. Would highly recommend this establishment. It seems like it should be a traditional pub with a lovely atmosphere but when you enter it’s hard to figure out what’s going on! The layout is disorientating - seats higher than tables, tables that don’t move which force you to wedge yourself in and a lot of tree like stumps to navigate around. I did notice traces of Spider-Man within the bar, hanging directly above the taps. He had caught his latest victim, the humble blue bottle fly… maybe give the bar a dusting? We did go on a Monday night which probably doesn’t help with the atmosphere, however, it’s hard to picture the building full and the vibe changing. We wanted it to be nice and quaint but we were left looking at things we would change if we owned it, however we don’t, so if the owners happy cothrom go leor! The pint of Guinness was delicious though, but my glass had the reminiscence of lipstick on it… never a good sign! Overall we wanted to be dazzled, walking from our stay into the heritage to a cozy pub 400m away but left disappointed in what seems like a forgotten gem! A definite must dine place! Family orientated, good selection of dishes and just look at the pictures...delicious! Service crew is very welcoming and warm. Place is clean and has a lovely outdoor area. Highly recommended to all Ribs and wings were good for starters, Steak was supposed to be medium rare but was way too thin to be anything but well done. Frozen chips didn't impress. Sweet and sour chicken had very little chicken in it Absolute disgraceful rude and so unprofessional. My God daughter + her Husband reserved and paid for an area for 60 people with x2 local singers for their day 2 celebrations yesterday 12/09/25 . The grooms family arrived first only to be asked to move from the area, a DJ was playing until 9pm ! (He was good, but not what had been arranged) food was cold and had to be sent back. When the bride arrived and asked about the reservation she was very rudely told " if you don't like it you can leave" ! I am not sure how a place can run a successful business while treating people like this. The Bride and Groom were so upset for their guests and the lovely evening they had planned for everyone. We all left and were very kindly accommodated by the staff in the Heritage who sat us all together and provided food for everyone at such short notice.
