The location is excellent, with a pleasant atmosphere right next to the lively city streets and the ocean. was, for the most part, very good, although a few members seemed a bit too rushed. Even when it’s busy, there’s no need to make guests feel as though everything is being hurried along. Prices are fairly standard, though they do lean slightly toward the higher side. The main drawback, and the reason I’m deducting one extra star, is the automatic inclusion of bread and water that you don’t request but still get charged for. Either it should be complimentary, or the customer should be asked beforehand. Being billed 3€ for something unsolicited feels unfair. While I understand this might be “the norm,” many other restaurants choose not to follow this practice. Waiting times were - as they are in all of Greece - quite long, so don’t arrive on an empty stomach! We had the pork and the chicken souvlaki and the taste was really good, the meat was juicy and the vegetables was well grilled also. The 4 og 5 stars rating is only cause the potato fries portions could be a bit bigger. All in all I recommend this Taverna 😉 The is also customer friendly so cudos to them 😀 Highly recommend…. We asked for a Greek Salad which we thought was lacking olive oil, and requested more to be added. We have been given a bottle of olive oil which we later on learned that it comes with a charge. Eventually after a short debate they taken it out of our bill but the fact that they try something like this, is a an attempt I have never experienced in Greece. Avoid it if you can, you will be better of with sandwich from a supermarket. Delicious food. Jumbo shrimp, mussels in ouzo sauce and the grilled red sea bream is the best in Plomari/ Lesbos. Exceptional food quality, kindness and professionalism of the staff, located in the center of Plomari right on the sea. You eat while looking at the port. Food quality is awful but the service/staff and atmosphere are nice. We were there during the day time but we would not prefer if it would be the evening and the other places were open. I have never been disappointed at Taverna Apolafsi. In the last few years, I have had friends from the states come to visit Greece with me. This is always our staple to visit. The food is absolutely delicious and the is impeccable. The owner is a hard-working lady who runs it with her son. She goes out of her way to make sure every single one of her customers is satisfied. We wish them much success for many more years to come And we will always be frequent patrons of this beautiful well run scenic restaurant.
