A pair of smiling eyes greet you and accompany you throughout the tour. You can watch the entire process from distillation to bottling. The ends with an tasting, if you wish you can buy and souvenirs from the shop. I always buy a bottle of of Plomari when I Lesbos and have wanted to the distillery for a while. We were welcomed by the security guard and led to the waiting area where the guide came out to greet us. The introduction was very interesting as was the brief of the distillery. I'd suggest going during the week if you want to see the place in full production as they don't bottle etc at the weekend. At the back there is a small factory and a where you can taste the drinks and make purchases. We visited the Museum on a week day around 10am. It was the 2 of us and another gentleman. I highly recommend going if you are coming to Lesvos. Along a winding country road from Agios Isidoros it's a 20 minute walk to the museum of Plomari Isidoros Arvanitis. It's the largest producer of on the island of Lesbos and 17 distilleries on the island produce 50% of all in Greece. Make a visit, it's time well spent and you'll both get the history of and taste it and buy some, if you wish.
