No booking was needed and we had the good fortune to be hosted by, Zeljka, who not only shared her wealth of knowledge about their and region but was also welcoming, friendly and personable and speaks very good English. We loved their Grk (better than examples we tasted on Korcula) and also thought their Dingac to be an excellent example. A lovely visit, highly recommended. Dog friendly, too! You will enjoy generous samples in a cozy tasting room with beautiful wood furniture and paintings of the Matkovic family. Very informative without being boring. Our enjoyed the Red, Plavak Barrique most. Well priced, full bodied and easy to drink any time of day. If you want an authentic Croatian experience from a thats roots go back to 1503, this is the tasting to go to. We loved our visit to Matković! We were looking at a few options in Pelješac and were so glad to have stopped by. Zelica was an incredibly gracious host as she walked us through the history and current state of their family-run business. The were delicious and the small-village feel of the whole experience made such an indelible mark in my memory. Please make sure to add to your itinerary and try their wines! A hidden gem! We were shown great hospitality by the owner, and she told us interesting stories from the history of the wineyard. We really enjoyed the superb red wines.
