We stayed here in a tent for two nights, the location is awesome, the staff is very nice, and the restaurant serves food and draft beer. Only downside in my opinion are the squatting toilets as I prefer regular ones, but there are also regular ones available. What a perfect place to stay. We stayed in our tent but the place, the location and view was on top. The food was traditional and so good. They took 9 euros per person for staying in our camp tent. But it was ok. The breakfast was buffet and was 8 euro per person. We really liked everything. We will go again soon. It was so quiet and you can go there with too. The perfect getaway for a weekend. We are a of 4 and we have been very satisfied with our 4 night stay. The host is very welcoming and speaks English. We had lovely homemade breakfast and dinner every day. We would definitely recommend Camping Freskia, and hope that we will have the opportunity to revisit this beautiful place again. This is in such a scenic location. It has absolutely stunning of the mountains. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and again the same views. I had some vegetarian meals (just let them know if you don't want meat). The meals are big, and perfect for a day of hiking. The coffee is also very good. I didn't have a car so it's not super accessible to get to Theth centre. It's a nice hike down but quite a long way. I often hitch hiked and met lovely people from across the world. However, with this comes safety risks as a solo female traveller. Another option is to try to hitch hike the mini buses that are doing private transfers. I tipped the driver and sometimes they refused a tip saying they just wanted to help out - so lovely. The showers at the were cold the 2 out of the 3 times I used them. The toilets often didn't have toilet paper. These were minor inconveniences. The views, owners and food make up for it. Definitely 5 stars. A super nice and secluded campground above the main village of Theth. I camped and ate dinner here for several nights and had a time. Excellent and alpenglow in the evenings. The food is really nice and the running it are great. They even made me a sandwich at short notice really early one day before a long hike! Much appreciated! They also take PayPal as well as cash, which was handy. We stayed 6 nights in one of the room with ensuite bathroom. This rating deserves some explanation. The room is quite bad; it’s just 4 beds. No one bothered to put a bed lamp, a bedside table or anything else to make it easy to there. With a minimum of effort it could’ve been made much nicer with the space. The bathroom is ok but the shower goes directly on the floor and no scraper is provided so you always wade in water going to the bathroom. This has to be compared more towards indoor tenting than a hotel room. Outside it’s a grass lawn for games, fantastic and a bar/restaurant with food and beer. The staff is super and the breakfast good. Due to the high occupancy (when full it’s many many people) this doesn’t compare to the more intimate guesthouses around theth. It’s as far as you can get from the village and start of the hikes so don’t even consider it without own car. 30 min extra every day going up and down steep slopes battling fast driving vans. So why the 5 stars? Two reasons; firstly the staff is so nice and helpful providing a atmosphere for the whole place, far from the high music and bars of Theth center. Secondly the options, Theth simply do not have lodging at this point in time. During 6 days we ate lunches at many other guest houses that were as simple and usually more expensive. Heaps of projects under construction that will partly ruin the appeal of the place but also drive up standards - and price. Until then - if you’re after a nature feeling and atmosphere and can accept the distance and everyday driving - this is the place! The location is fantastic, with grass everywhere, view of the mountains and clean hit showers. The running the camping is really really kind and despite arriving in the evening we could had dinner with a daily menu. location and atmosphere. The personnel is very and helpful. We stayed for two nights, slept in our tent. Very quiet and comfortable. Toilets and showers are very clean, warm water available. Food is typical Albanian. Wine is very good. The place is perfect for anybody looking for an authentic experience surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature. The owners received us with a very warm welcome and we felt at home instantly. The staff did a job at making our even more enjoyable with their natural and attitude. Besides the people that run the place, the food they offer was also and plenty even for people with a big appetite like me and my friends. We were able to take some beautiful hiking trips starting straight from the and enjoy the beauty of the Albanian mountains. I'm sure it wont be my last visit and i can recommend it to anybody who is looking for real and authentic places to really get to know this country a bit better. The place has a restaurant but no service kitchen so better to bring your own cooking camp gas stove. Lots of spaces to set up tent and shower and amenities. We camped here for three nights in late July, it was a and would definitely there again. The camping area is well laid out with a grass surface and has spectacular across the valley. There are lots of electricity plugs and water taps available. The toilets and showers are and are kept clean. The owners were very and welcoming. They run a small restaurant on site which provides a traditional meal in the evening and a buffet breakfast each morning. The was a start point for hikes, and is located on the other side of the valley from Theth, so you are out of the more developed area. It has shade in the evening so tents are cool overnight. We had a here, eventhough the weather was bad, the were great. The campingsite is run by a kind that knows how to prepare a Albanian meal. Would definitely come back here and thus recommend. P.S. to Gil: we did the off road track to Shkodër in just over 3 hours. It was amazing, thanks for suggesting it. Food and hospitality are perfect 100/10. You do not need to look for any other camp in the area, this one has everything! The bathrooms are always clean and there is always warm water and electricity. The employees treat everyone with such care and respect. They are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the local town as their has been in Theth for generations.
