Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. A place every Bulgarian should visit. The tour guide was exceptional with deep knowledge of history. The location where the Bulgarian hero, Vasil Levski was captured by the Ottaman police. The Inn has been rebuilt, slightly larger than the original, though the bar, bedroom and stables are the original dimensions. It is open every day and shuts for lunch between 12 noon and 13:30 (see opening times picture). There is a guide that talks about the event, in Bulgarian. Non Bulgarian speakers should come with a translator to get the most out of the visit. Set aside 30-45 minutes to get the most out of the important history lesson. There is a tree in the garden, it was present at the time of the arrest, it died in 1997 and now supported by a metal frame. Always remember Vasil Levski! This review is in English hopefully a lot more foreign tourists will visit and will hear the sad story of our greatest and most important national hero Vasil Levski and his capture. After this - it is a small museum, nothing special to see, but the most important thing is the lecture from the people who are working there. The said lecture is very interesting, and I mean very, very interesting. New facts about the capture and the subsequent attempts for rescue and the trial of Vasil Levski. Interesting information about him, the people who were part of the secret organization that fought for Bulgarian freedom. I am not sure if the lecture is available in English, but if you manage to finnd a friend who can translate you will learn a lot of facts about Bulgarian freedom fight. We visited the museum and managed to listen to the lecture presented by the man working there. According to my girlfriend that was been there before his lecture was better. He was answering a lot of questions and was clear that he has deep knowledge of the matter. One of the most important, well known and revered places in Bulgarian history, the "pub/tavern/coach House" where Vasil Levski was betrayed and captured. I was informed by the curator (very nice man) that the building is almost original with only minor repairs, he gave me a tour and explanation of that fateful night. Thank you sir. If you want to feel a piece of history, you should visit. Try to imagine what life was for those people. A historical place of capturing of the famous freedom fighter Vasil Levski Great place to visit and hear from the person managing the museum the real story of capturing the famous bulgarian revolutionary Vasil Levsky by the ottoman police. A story that was intentionally manipulated for more than 100 years. It was very convenient during all these years for corrupted religious and political leaders to claim it on the priest Krastio. Go there and hear the real story. Bulgarian historical place rebuilt after fire a hundred years ago. A very interesting story and curios facts about Levski narrated by a very kind woman - the museum guide. Must be visited.
