The Covered Bridge is a worthwhile stop in Lovech, offering a unique experience with its shops and historical significance. While not overwhelmingly impressive to all, it's a key landmark and provides nice views, especially from the riverbank. Consider bringing cash. The best views of the bridge are from the outside, along the riverside. Many shops may only accept cash. Some shops may be closed on Sunday mornings. ATMs are available nearby. Weekday visits may be less crowded than weekends. "Not something I'd go out of my way to visit. It's most interesting part is a minimodel inside." "Really nice bridge, nicer in the inside than the outside at the time I visited it. However, the best view is from the riverside..." "The Covered Bridge is one of the symbols of Lovech. It looks beautiful from the outside and is very interesting inside..." "Quite a nice covered bridge...I found the atmosphere a bit desolate and it didn't make me very happy." "It’s a place that keeps the old arts and crafts alive. It’s not big, it’s not much, but it is an interesting part of the town." Not something I'd go out of my way to visit. It's most interesting part is a minimodel inside. From the outside - it doesn't look good at all, and it's nothing special, really. The idea is what counts, I guess. None of the buildings nearby are made to along with it... Interesting… stores with lots of souvenirs This is such a charmful bridge! Reminded me of the one in Florence. It is beautiful, but still it looked a bit outdated, lost, empty for a Sunday afternoon. There is a very small cafe inside and plenty of souvenir (but most of them sell same items). Would have been to see something of the history of the or maybe little lights inside or outside, in the evening. Something was missing, but still is beautiful and worth the trip ! place, with plenty of stores inside + 1 mini museum Really bridge, nicer in the inside than the outside at the time I visited it. However, the best view is from the riverside, where you can see the colored buildings next to it and the image is nicely mirrored in the water. The Covered is one of the symbols of Lovech. It looks beautiful from the outside and is very interesting inside, with several souvenir and even a model of the itself. Interesting to see, both on the outside and on the inside. There are a lot of small gift shops, some hand made, some with commercial things. Some of them were closed when we visited it (on a Sunday morning), and since we didn't have any cash leva, we didn't bother to look for anything. Maybe some of them accepted card payment as well, but we received many "cash leva only" answers during our stay in Lovech, so we didn't ask. Quite a covered bridge. Designed and built by Kolyu Ficheto from 1872 to 1874. The best pictures are taken from the regular a bit further. In the covered part of the are many that sell the same tourist stuff. I found the atmosphere a bit desolate and it didn't make me very happy. Amazing town with history-Lovech,Bulgaria It’s a place that keeps the old arts and crafts alive. It’s not big, it’s not much, but it is an interesting part of the town. The area around it is for a walk, especially when it’s sunny. There’s a cafe next to one of its entrances, but none of the places there accept card payments. Luckily, there are a few banks abd ATM’s nearby. Symbol of the greatest times of Bulgaria. Beautiful architecture and it’s kept the old spirit. A lot of small stores inside with souvenirs. Beautiful and workshops with fascinating Bulgarian souvenirs at decent prices. with lots of where you can find handmade souvenirs. Don't forget to view the from outside I've attached a negative photo. Very beautiful place. Some stores inside the bridge. The store that we went in to get souvenires accepted payment via card.
