We had a around this in the spring sunshine...The pathway's are all wide and level making it easy access for everyone...As with all parks with water it attracts lots of wildlife, there was plenty to be seen on our walk, even saw a Cormorant pearched on a post in the lake..There are lots of benches around to relax on and you can fish here if you are s member of the Angling club.. Overall a little place to visit for a lovely walk... There is plenty of onsite free parking, with easy access from Thamesdown Drive in West Swindon...👍 Our local beauty spot, loads of birds, a few rats (!) the path goes all round the lake, ok for pram, wheelchair Restful and for a walk. Good pedestrian access from the Taw Hill estate. Car parks and paths well made up though on some, strollers with small wheels may be awkward. Easy access to the Taw Hill station of the Swindon and Cricklade Railway. Traffic a bit noisy at this end I've included photos showing the rail timetables Lovely place to around, very beautiful and plenty of wildlife if you like photography. Lush around the and feeding the ducks/swans. Plus a little through the woods The new path around the has really improved the accessibility to the park. Beautiful location. Its a very little with lots of walks around which can lead you to the river , but it looks like its not really looked after fishing wise, some of the swims dont look safe for me and i was wandering to go fishing there but not sure if theres any fish left 😃 any one fished there recently? Cheers ! Peaceful great scenic and bird views. Good for dog walks and birds feeding. It may be muddy surrounding the during wet weather, suitable boots are recommended. Free parking. Really enjoyed a trip to this quiet little-known oasis of tranquility beyond Swindon's busy arterial Thamesdown Drive. The Country Park's well maintained, litter-free & easily accessible- with ample parking spaces. It features a beautiful with numerous islands & assorted wildfowl...+ wooden stages for anglers. Different paths lead to a) footbridges over the attractive River Ray, b) the terminus of the Swindon to Cricklade Railway c) a country road leading to Purton (a scenic Wiltshire town of historical interest). Mouldon Hill's equally inviting for walking, picnicking, cycling & spotting types of birds & butterflies. Recommended. A stunning place to have a in, lots of fields and the is beautiful. Managed to see roe deer and grey herons here and baby geese. Would recommend. Beautiful and easy tarred pathway goes all the way round. Forest close by and lovely fields for dogs to run around in at the back of the lake. Great around the lake. A lot of birds to see or feed. Dog and child friendly and also great for wheelchairs and prams. Have also seen people fish there. Car park is and clean and road surface is well maintained. Very for dog walking. There is a large field near the car park that is great for dogs that like a run and/or to chase balls. Your dog needs to have good recall or a training lead as most dogs would be able to fit through the fence.
