This was a fun and solidly built but a couple of niggles deny it the full five stars. We chose the Titanic and first impressions were good. The was well put together (I hate flimsy sets) and the attention to detail was impressive, from the background music (the famous string quartet) to the tilt of the ‘deck’. The puzzle itself was fairly logical and we were able to with a little nudge in the right direction from our master. So why only four stars? Well, most glaringly, the had not been reset properly allowing access to another too early. This resulted in an in-person intervention from the game’s master which, whilst necessary to allow us to play on, did break the immersion. Talking of which, this is the only we have ever played where hints are given in-person; the master returned later in the to offer a pointer. Again, while the hint was appreciated, breaking the fourth wall was jarring. Finally, there was no way to keep track of time in the game. Given it’s a challenge to solve the clues against the clock it’s fairly standard to have some sort of time piece in the with you. Aside from these minor irritations, this was a fun way to spend an hour and we would definitely return to sample a different if we return to the area again. We did a spontaneous room, not being particularly local to Swindon, and had a wonderful time! Warren looked after us; entertaining, knowledgeable and able to help us without completely giving the puzzle away. The the Tutanic was well layed out, the puzzles were challenging but not impossible, and good fun! Will come again Fantastic birthday treat for my husband - brilliantly set up with a whole variety of problem solving skills. It was great fun. Special thanks to Matty who was just the cherry on top! He helped my daughter & her friends to get through when they had problems solving the puzzles. Definitely recommend it as the girls had great fun 😁 Paige was a fab host, enthusiastic and made it engaging for the kids. The was well designed with cleverly crafted clues, a couple of subtle hints helped keep us moving through the scenario. Will definitely try the other rooms soon! First time at this and it was a great one. We had Warren as our master and we did the from Alcatraz room. We chose it because a member of our team is very good at rooms and this one had a low pass rate so expecting it to be very hard. The was explained well by Warren and the puzzles in the were great. I particularly liked the fact that the clues found in each didn’t necessarily work in the they were found in and may have needed to be used in a previous or a future room. This kept us on our toes. Some of the clues were so subtle and hidden we did need a few helping hands from Warren but overall there was plenty of things to look for for a group of 6. Highly recommend! Me and my boyfriend went to do 13 and we had Paige to assist us! She was super helpful and made the experience feel extremely real, especially when questioning us at the end. We managed to and overall it’s a great experience with creepy ambience and fun puzzles to get through that really make you think. Would totally recommend, and definitely going back there for the other rooms! We had Paige for Room13 and her service was just amazing. She was so nice and helpful to us and with her help we were able to escape. Definitely would go back there. Had a brilliant afternoon at Houdini’s completing the 13 room. Our host Josh was absolutely brilliant, clearly explaining how the works and always being there to offer a hand if we needed it! The props felt realistic and it was appropriately spooky and creepy to keep us on our toes throughout. Solving the clues was difficult but Warren, our games master, was very helpful! He was extremely friendly throughout and made this a very fun experience! Absolutely amazing experience we had for my sisters birthday, we had never been to a but Warren ensured we knew what we were doing at all times and provided us with the tips as we went along. Overall I think it was an interesting experience and definitely Warren’s reception made it better, thanks Warren!
