This is possibly the best holiday I have visited as it had everything that I need. I have visited and reviewed a number of parks and this o e stands out for many reasons. The is quiet (I visited outside of the school holidays) and the staff are polite and - always! As others have said the scenery is absolutely stunning. There are numerous walks and lakes with a whole plethora of wildlife; just this afternoon I walked quietly by two swans standing by the lake side and just managed to miss photographing a close encounter with a heron launching into flight. The reception area, lounge, stage/children’s is very well presented with comfortable seats and a really pleasant peaceful ambience. I visited with my four year-old grandson who really enjoyed the children’s in the evening. We found the restaurant to be very pleasant. There was a choice of high-quality foods for both the and ourselves my wife and I are not big eaters and the availability of small appetite meals meant that we enjoyed really quality food at a very sensible price. There is an outdoor swimming pool, closed at this time of year and an excellent indoor swimming pool. The indoor import is spotless to was well laid out changing rooms and plenty of space for family changing as well as individuals. The itself is excellent for families with shallow level entry lots of water fun things for the to play with as well as slides for younger older and even adults. The staff in this are really helpful as well as observant to make sure we are all safe all the time, thank you. There are a range of caravans and cabins Space arranged into areas around the park; I will review our with a separate review. Overall, I can find very little to fault about this place. I love the peace and quiet here as well as the activities for and families. Highly recommended! Just finished a 5 day break here and loved it. The (145 Mallard) was ideal for us (bedrooms a bit small but you have to expect that so all good). The site was lovely and and pleasant to walk around. The on site facilities were great, shop sold everything you could need, the restaurant and food options well priced and quality. was and had a lovely indoor and outdoor pool. Plenty of other activities to do which were either free or cheap. Close to days out and nice areas to explore. Will definitely be coming back here again. Lovely experience. Went to a spiritual retreat. The was so comfortable and clean. Everything worked and had plenty of room. Very reasonable prices too. Drinks at the bar and very expensive. But it's a night out. quiet, little holiday park. Fantastic pool.with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Outdoor a addition but was cold. Lovely beautiful setting and walks around the lake. Lots for kids to do (buggies, arcade, pool, pedalos, minigolf). outdoor and kept clean. Evening could be better and lets the place down (other than the music bingo which was fun). Poor leads to few people in the clubhouse on an evening and so it lacks atmosphere. Used glasses not cleared up and stack on tables until the end of the night. But still a lovely location and felt very safe to allow older the freedom to explore and enjoy! We had a wonderful week away in this static caravan, which had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The was spotless on arrival, well-equipped, and felt like a home away from home. The site itself was fantastic, especially for families. The new soft play and swimming were a big hit with the children, keeping them entertained for hours. The location was also a highlight—we had a beautiful lake view, and it was such a treat to have swans and ducks visiting us every morning! Overall, a place to relax and enjoy nature while still having plenty to do. We would definitely return! Fantastic location, the lodges over in The Reach are far nicer and more spacious than the caravans on the main site. Activities a little lack lustre at times, nerf war definitely for 6/7 year olds and under, it is the worst set up I’ve ever experienced, just a couple of small obstacles no imagination or effort had been used, our older ones walked away. We were lucky that the outdoor had reopened or I feel the atmosphere would have been very different. Although the outdoor needed some TLC, broken sun umbrellas, thick cobwebs everywhere, crockery and glasses left on tables for well over 1-2 hours, so litter on patio soon increased, along with the wasps. One major downside and an the site really must improve on, is the wait time at the bar and app ordering. Most visits to the bar were between 15-20 minutes, food was extremely slow if you ordered more that two meals, for example, we ordered 4 meals, then 15minutes later ordered another, then 5minutes after that another. The two individual orders arrived first then ours 5 minutes later, but more amusingly, was that one of the four meals was the same as the two that had arrived first. I feel the kitchen struggles with orders any larger than two and prepares them first and keeps putting larger orders back. We had breakfast on our last day, came in around 10.30, with just a handful of tables eating already and it took over an hour to receive 4 lots of pancakes and 9 cooked meals all comprising of similar items, this should not have taken over an hour! Staff are really and helpful and this was probably the only reason why no one complained, I could hear many guests passing comment, as waiting times for food and drink was border line ridiculous which did dampen our experience on the whole. Would definitely visit again, IF, I knew the issues above had been resolved and would happily give 5* for service. Staff were lovely! Review from couple in their late 60's with 2 dogs, who enjoy walking around the water parks. We're just back from 4 days in a dog select caravan. It's February, it was cold, and walks at the nearby water were very muddy! We came prepared! But....beautiful quite new caravan, warm and very comfortable! Spotlessly with lovely big tv. En suite toilet to main bedroom. It was fab! We've been here before out of season, and really enjoyed it. The is lovely, so warm. I really enjoyed a couple of swims there. All refurbished too! Of no interest to us of course, but it was lovely to see tots enjoying the and the fabulous new soft play area. The is so child with it's shallow water entry, play area, flume, and large fun water droppers! There's adult only swimming early morning, and I found lunch time a quiet time. Very dog friendly, we sat and had a drink in the bar with them. Fab chips! Great walking around there. Our favourite is parking by Cotswold Outdoors to walk, then coffee in the dog 'The Gateway Cafe'. It overlooks the lake. There is a direct walk onto a lake from the holiday too. We'll be back! We had a basic caravan, there was so much space and it was super clean. We loved having the lakes near as there were so many ducks. Every morning we'd be greatest by them. The holiday itself was very well maintained and clean. There were always staff out doing something. Some of the bar staff were a bit unhelpful and just looked miserable but others were super friendly. The and soft play were and in condition. All in all it's a perfect little place for your family holiday. Lots of different activities from go karts, to archery, to mini golf (which you have to pay extra for). The for the kids was also really good, all of the children's staff were and chatty. My son especially loved Laura. All in all a little place for a family holiday Overall had a fantastic stay at cotswolds hoburne. Lots of positive points; - and well looked after site - was spotless and relatively modern - swimming pool, sauna and steam - enough attractions and in a well kept modern centre - staff welcoming and attentive - outdoor areas look for summer - evening was for kids, they really enjoyed it - soft play modern and size for kids For improvement; - restaurant really poor - they are really missing a trick here. - long waits for simple food orders and bland + small portions - shower in disabled was poorly designed and flooded the whole bathroom everytime - no locks on bathroom door - the arcade machines breakdown frequently. Staff are very helpful and come to fix but this seems like a no trainer to save staff time and customer experience. Overall stay and looking forward to returning in summer in a luxury lodge! Highly Recommend place for and the dog. Very relaxing and pet friendly. I was charged 3 times for my dinner due to the systems going down and the app glitching, which was frustrating. I did receive my money back but not for 5 days after it pending in my bank. The swimming is for al ages and we enjoyed the musical bingo. I would definitely go again. Swimming was wonderful, grandchildren really enjoyed it, life guards were a bit sparse, and periodically, missing completely! Young teenagers were unsupervised and as teenagers do caused havoc! The restaurant was mediocre on the first visit and very poor on the second. My bowl of soup was barely half full, served with no spoon, a requested jug of water arrived, with no glasses to pour it into! Oh come on, common sense - where had it disappeared to? My complaint fell on deaf ears and I was charged at full price. We won’t be using your restaurant again in the near future, maybe giving the management time to improve?!
