A truly refreshing forest with a well-maintained stone chippings path that’s easy on the feet. The trail winds through peaceful, scenic woodland offering stunning views and a deep sense of tranquility. It’s a great spot to reconnect with nature — no litter bins along the track, so make sure to take your rubbish with you. There are no restaurants or washrooms during the walk, so plan accordingly. Parking is available.Highly recommended for nature lovers looking for a quiet, unspoiled escape! Great easy trail with amazing views of Benbulben. There are three different length trails but well marked. I recommend walking through the left gate first, away from Benbulben, so you can come across it from out of the trees. In my opinion it is a more impressive view from that angle. Gorgeous walk! The most impressive reveal will be from the Benbulben loop walking away from the mountain and coming in from the trees. On a clear day, you get a great view of the sea too. Dog friendly and very pleasant with great views of Benbulben Fantastic on a gravel path. Big hill to start but worth the trek up it. The views are amazing and the picture opportunities are unmatched. 3 different loops to choose from. Loved this loop. Misty sunday walk. Beautiful fall colors, mossy trees, and sheep dotting the hillside. The path is very well maintained and marked. Lots of parking. Clean picnic tables where we enjoy our packed lunch. Gravel path all the way around so dogs won't get too muddy even on a wet day. 3 different length trails all of which take you by the base of benbulben. Dogs allowed on leads but no dog poo bins to dispose of waste 🫤 ample car parking spaces and designated area for buses or campervans. This is a great little walkabout, super accessable, and three options for lengths. We did the medium option (Yeats Loop @ 5Km), with a toddler, and it took us 3hrs. Must-visit, breathtaking place. The stunning views and beautiful surroundings make it a perfect destination for a day out. There is plenty of parking available, which makes it easy to get there. The accessibility and well-maintained paths add to the overall experience. Whether you’re looking to relax or explore, you won't be disappointed. Full loop takes 1hr of but there are shortcuts available. In colder days it is worth to wear warm hat. Not many poodles, people on wheelchairs should have no problems completing the loop as there are no steep places and surface is a fine stone. 2 car parks, lower is tarmac, upper gravel.
