Agapia Monastery is highly recommended for its exceptional beauty, art, and serene atmosphere. Visitors should be aware of the photography restrictions inside the church. Visiting during weekdays or shoulder season is advised to avoid crowds. The monastery features artwork by Romanian painter Nicolae Grigorescu. A museum dedicated to his work is located inside. Consider visiting the small museum 150m before the main entrance. Toilets are available for visitors. "Simply outstanding. Very nice and clean monastery. Incredible well maintained garden. If you like flowers you will fall in love." "What these mothers monk did here is absolutely beautiful. You are in the heaven garden!" "Beautiful monastery with well kept gardens. The artwork is less typical of Christian Orthodox artwork as it was done by Romanian painter Nicolae Grigorescu who painted in a neoclassical style." "The Monastery had a special architecture, well-kept and maintained with great care." Very nice and clean monatsery. Incredible well maintained garden. If you like flowers you will fall in love. Highly recommended. Beautiful location and easy to reach this place. The Monastery had a special architecture, well-kept and maintained with great care. The souvenir shop very well stocked with religious books, hand-made sweets, and much more. Toilets available. It is basically situated at the end of the road. It was a mid September day with the mist coming out of everything after a particularly heavy rein which added to the inherent beauty of the place. Aside the monastery, I would recomand not to miss Nicolae Grigorescu, a famous Romanian painter, lesser known for its religious painting. There is also a memorial house to one of the Romanian writers, Alexandru Vlahuta, in the vicinity. The house itself is an interesting stop, even if you're not familiar with the author, as the walk it takes you through the village houses, all inhabited by the monastery nuns population. Beautiful and well maintained Monastery, a must see for anyone touring the Bucovina's monasteries. The paintings are by Nicolae Grigorescu, stunning beautiful. Beautiful monastery with well kept gardens. The artwork is less typical of Christian Orthodox artwork as it was done by Romanian painter Nicolae Grigorescu who painted in a neoclassical style. You can also visit a museum of his work inside the monastery. Sadly you can't take pictures inside the church so the paintings can be preserved Very nice place; liked the flowers and pieces of saints. What these mothers monk did here is absolutelly beautiful. You are in the heaven garden! I recommend you visit the little museum to the left, 150m before the main entrance, the nuns there were wonderful and they really made you feel welcome to visit and ask about anything.
