Really exciting exhibits you drive down the road. The grounds are in great shape and the is in wonderful shape considering the age. Unbelievable how they built buildings with the huge stone work. There is a place to buy drinks and snacks next to the parking lot. The main part of the was locked so you couldn’t go inside. They do have a tour at times but not sure when. This is really cool part of Ireland history you can’t miss A very well kept Castle, you could feel the spaces as they would of been when inhabited. A great piece of history to preserve. Ansestors of these families may be proud their heritage still stands well intact. Seasonal coffee shop No toilets Picnic spot available Free parking and entry Dogs on leash Amazing spot! Fantastic ruins and in really good condition. Worth the visit. This is a perfect ruin. Most of the structure is still intact and the walls are still solid. The main tower has been locked to help with this and windows have been installed to prevent weathering. But I’d rest of the buildings and keep are as they were and so it is or real interest to walk around it. Worth a visit if you like this type of place. No cost to enter. Free to enter, and in surprisingly good shape. Unable to enter the tower but if close by, a nice 15 minute stop that kids and all will love. My husband and I visited Doe in March and we were the only people there. It was amazing. The grounds were clean and this historic site has been well preserved and cared for. We enjoyed learning about it's history and exploring the rooms and yards. Highly recommend! Well preserved old on edge of Lough. Narrow access road but plenty of parking beside the castle. Free to park and no charge for entry to the castle. Beautiful castle! Very scenic. Easy to walk around. Definitely visit the graveyard too! The gate is stiff but will open. The style is very steep!! Well worth a visit...free parking and free to enter the Really quite at the edge of the water, well kept and a sight to see on a sunny day. Quite enough when I was there and stayed the night in the car park. This is a beautiful with a rich history. It’s truly a classic structure and the architecture lets you imagine what it was like in its heyday. It is really well kept and the groundskeeper is super kind. It’s free to visit and I recommend visiting this ruin to learn about its history.
