Also temporary outdoor corona proof seating is foreseen. I did not feel comfortable in this venue. Because the prices of drinks seemed higher than other locations in Ypres. So we did not visit again. So just be Aware of prices before you order and purchase. Have a safe and enjoyable visit but don't leave your brain at home like me. A welcome addition to the beer/bar scene in Ypres, in a great location close to the Menin Gate Memorial. Not quite sure what the tank thing is all about, but I do know it has about 3 dozen excellent on tap! Good, friendly service, & very reasonable prices for the location and the quality of the beers. Right next to The Menin Gate, we called in here after the ceremony and due to the staff, the people and the choice we stayed here for the rest of the evening. Ypres closes pretty early so be careful about eating - we found a pizza place that was still open when we eventually left the bar otherwise we would have stayed hungry. If ever I am Ypres again I would have no problems in spending a few hours in here. I Went here earlier in the evening was great loads of to choose from friendly enough. Returned closer to 8 where you get the last stand and suddenly the was €3 euros more expensive I questioned him on this and he said I must've done it wrong last time I left it as that then sat down looked at the menu and no he just chose to charge me more. A great lively bar and a huge selection of beers. Friendly bar staff give good advice on the beers. Always received a warm welcome from the staff. They were incredibly helpful to us and made sure we got home safely at the end of the night. I would totally recommend it to the visiting Brits. We visited here a few times during our visit. I enjoyed sampling the different my husband stuck with Wipers Times. The coconut was fun. Staff & owner could not have made us more welcome. Over 4 nights we returned every night for service with a smile & going over and above to ensure our every requirement was accommodated. Contrary to other reviews, we found the prices to be a lot more affordable than the competition & a much wider range of available. We will definitely return on our next visit.
