Found the place warm and welcoming. Will pop in again next I'm in town :) Every now and them I get back home to Edenderry, and Byrnes bar his definitely the bar to go for your guinness. Nice black, creamy pint. and the are too. Highly recommended. Good local pub. Good and well run. Nice place Lovely family run public house, always very welcoming, friendly staff, beer garden. I was there last week standing chatting at the bar when without a word the owner arrived in with a stool from the lounge for me. I stayed to watch the rugby match the was electric and there was racing on another TV there was banter. There was a function on in the lounge with food and live music. spot. The in the pub is very good starting with the good and the old irish welcome as you enter. The bar is warm and busy and the lounge is spacious and fun. So you have 2 spots in byrnes, well... 3 if your a smoker. 1)Bar Lovely sort of a wall sort of a decor, plenty of seats pints. Any bottles come from the lounge any pints on tap are pulled right in front of you in the bar. Is never too warm or too cold in the bar either. 2)Lounge Huge space which, when enough folks request it, is air conditioned. Bottles are there in front of you pints can be pulled there too but I'd recommend you request them from the bar. Lounge is very spacious, frequently used for very large events and in general at the weekends when everyone is out and it's easy to walk thorough, nothing worse than having to squeeze your way through people but this simply is not the case here. Also a stage for your band to do their thing with excellent sound travel amongst the entire pub for a bit of craic which is what it's all about at the end of the day. 3)Smoking area Located outside (not byrnes fault, in Ireland it's a requirement under law not that one can't enjoy a smoke in the pub at night (where there's no kids) after a hard weeks work of tax paying labour). They have compensated for this with all the outdoor requirements, neat shelter from the elements with not one but jeasus two heat tube strip heaters that work the finest, seats and cigarette bins. Sure ya can't go wrong like. Overall you will never be disappointed, just don't turn up with a take away to the front door, byrnes can do food for you upon prearranged terms. Call in there like I did for my 21st, you won't be disappointed. Proper irish pub for everyone. Oh, did I mention the awesome staff?
